Sometimes you got to let the Vorthos flag fly high. For those not into story time, this is a Gorgon themed deck, taking direct inspiration from the old myths of Medusa. The end game is casting giant Villainous Wealth and wrecking mortals with their own decks.

Now, story time...

There are many myths and tales of the Gorgon. We are here to tell you they are mostly the things of fevered dreams of men with too much time on their hands. True, there is a sliver of truth, as with all visions, but let it be know that for generations we sisters, the daughters of gods, lived in tranquility and power. Until the hated one came. Until that fool boy, sent by lust on the wings of deceit, intruded upon our home, murdered our sister, took her head as his grisly trophy!

We hunt the boy. By the power of the gods we search the very soul of every mortal we encounter. And be they full of lies and secrets, as mortals are loathed to do, we will take from them everything. Just as our sister was taken from us.

Sthenno: One of the sisters, no greater or lesser than her sisters, she took the mantle of leading this perilous quest by fate.

Euryale: One of the sisters, no greater or lesser than her sisters, she took the mantle of the enforcer by fate.

Villainous Wealth: We shall use their own greed against them, tearing into their minds and ripping their bodies apart with their own power. Nothing will prevent us from finding our sister, whether we must deal with powers that men fear we will do it again and again.

Echidna: Let not the mist of myth lead you astray, for we declare her as one of the daughters of Phorcys, one of our sisters, the mother of many great and terrible beings.

Medusa: The one who was slain. Our search is for her.

Perseus: The hated one, the hunted one. He is not be found in the army of Sthenno and Euryale, for he is the pray.

Let not fools cloud your thoughts with stories of the "birth" of the Gorgons. The gods are not confined by the laws of animal procreation. And neither are their creations. But, we will say that Phorcys and Ceto do have a thing for each other... and there is some history between Poseidon and our poor sister... and you really shouldn't think too hard about, since history brought forth many children who mortals disdain to call beasts and monsters. Those children too call out for blood. The blood so potent, so blessed, that as the drops of blood fell from the fallen sister, snakes, vipers, entire new species of life were created and went into the world.
