Just missed prizes again (5th last week with a cut to top 4). I had two draws that really held me back, and I finished with a record of 2-1-2. Legion Loyalist definitely did good work, and I made a few last-minute sideboard changes that were also effective. A detailed report along with a Florida States report will be coming soon.

Hey Jimhawk, I'm having difficulty dealing with GW midrange. The turn three Advent of the Wurm and later Increasing Savagery and Rancor is really hard to deal with for me as I can no longer feel safe attacking. Sigarda, Host of Herons with Increasing Savagery is also a very annoying thing to deal with. What do you suggest I sideboard in for this kind of matchup?

Threaten effects are ideal against midrange strategies. I only run the two Zealous Conscripts and also two Oblivion Ring for universal removal in these situations. If you expect to play a high amount of midrange decks, adding more threaten effects such as Mark of Mutiny will be very effective. The problem with Sigarda, Host of Herons is, however, irreconcilable for this deck. Glaring Spotlight isn't worth the slots at the moment until Bant Hexproof starts to gain greater footing the in meta.

You should feel just fine attacking when you have a Frontline Medic and/or a Blind Obedience .

+1 from me, I can't beat this deck. I was thinking of going to FNM with my Golgari Death is Not the End (G/B), but it just can't stand up to something like this. Any ideas?

Just tried using this deck in a standard tournament.

Only difference was I had 2 ajani, and 3 searing spears in the main deck.

Out of 17 players, I ended up in top 8...taking 6th place.

Deck played really well, 1st set was against g/r wolves. 2-0 win in my favor, 2nd set was against jund mid range. Lost 0-2, mulligan down to 5 in both games with only 3 drops and land in hand. He also played bonfire of the damned in both games and I didnt have a boros charm to save anyone...but I'm pretty sure I could have taken him if I had better starts...3rd set was against bant auras/hexproof. 2-1 in my favor. Last set was against esper control, 2-0 in my favor.

Overall great deck man, keep it up!

Legion Loyalist would do WONDERS versus Junk tokens and Advent of the Wurm ...he also helps Tajic out. Whats not to love <3?

I agree, Legion Loyalist is very good, especially as Junk Tokens begins to grow in popularity. I think it's worth trying out at some point since he does have synergy with Frontline Medic and Hellrider , which is the primary interaction in the deck these days. The problem I run into is having to maintain the number of humans to keep Champion of the Parish effective, but I think I can manage that.

I may try, at some point, -2 Rally the Peasants , -2 Blind Obedience , -1 Ajani, Caller of the Pride for +4 Legion Loyalist and +1 Tajic, Blade of the Legion with the opportunity to fit in a second Tajic by cutting something else, just to test the effectiveness of Legion Loyalist firsthand. Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

Also, thanks for the positive feedback acbodoh. It is unfortunate that bad draws will just happen sometimes, especially in a deck like this that really stretches its land count to the brink based on its reliance on 3-drops. I had a similar issue in my only loss in the last FNM to Esper Control where I was stuck on two lands in both games for an extended period of time.
