Midrange lockdown Mono Blue Tron? WHAAAAATT!!!

I really do own this deck. Once I fix my SD Card on my phone, pics will be at the end of the Summary.

Summary:

This is a Mono Blue Tron deck with a lot of answers. It has salt and anger built into it. It is made to make everyone think they got rid of one threat, and BAM is that a Turn 5 Blightsteel Colossus ? Hell yeah it is. They get rid of Tron? There is Quicksilver Amulet. Did they Naturalize it? No prob, stall with Platinum Emperion or Platinum Angel. This is the bane of Mana Ramp. They think that turn 3 having is awesome, that's cute. Try with one turn going from to . If you keep pulling out Urza Lands, that is - for one land. Now this might be a traditional Tron build however, Quicksilver Amulet is a Game Changer. Combo it with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for a potential turn 4-5 kill. On top of that, the best board wipe is in there, All Is Dust, and what is the cost? , the same amount of mana you would have Turn 3 if you got your Tron Lands out. Oh your aggro deck shelled out a ton of Goblins with +1/+1 counters and haste? Please, let me get the violin ready.

The Guts:

Once you get Tron out, you have Karn Liberated, Platinum Angel or if you need to get out of a bind, All Is Dust. You also have cards that once Tron is out and you have created a buffer, you can start getting out Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Sundering Titan , to start removing lands, Platinum Emperion , which if you combine with Platinum Angel can cause frustration and anger.

The draw comes from the Ugin's Insight which would be used in order to get out Tron quicker, or Quicksilver Amulet which will be explained later. The control comes from Condescend. The goal with this card is to hold off something big for one turn while you prepare Tron, or draw out Quicksilver Amulet. One turn can make or break a game with this deck.

Now, this deck is designed with turn 4/5 in mind. If Tron is not there, and I mean you don't have your Expedition Maps or Tolaria West s, you have Quicksilver Amulet this is a Turn 4 GODSEND if you draw it and have any creature in your hand. That is turn 5 potential Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Blightsteel Colossus , or even Platinum Emperion /Platinum Angel.

With the new additions from Battle for Zendikar, we got a couple of missing pieces of the puzzle to make this deck complete. Two key things were missing was the lack of control. With Titan's Presence and the double whammy that is Skyline Cascade you get well needed early game game control to keep you alive until turn 3-4 and to get out Voltron. For more ramp we got Kozilek's Channeler with not only gives up a turn 5 option for that is a 4/4 and gives me to use. Lastly we have Endless One. This card is a great utility if you need something out. Even with low mana you can at least have something that can help you keep things off

Optimal Playstyle:

Turns 1-3: Focus on getting the Urza Lands out. Use your Expedition Maps if you have them. But, if you are able get Tolaria West , Island or Talisman of Dominance in your hand, play them so you can cast your Condescend and/or Skyline Cascade . That way, you can keep their early game back. If by turn 3 you have your 3 Urza Lands out, cast All Is Dust if there is more then one threat on the battlefield that is not in your control otherwise Karn Liberated and use his -3 ability to remove anything that poses a major threat and put you in control and set the pace. That will gives you some room to breathe and give some advantage to you.

Turn 4/5: If you have the Urza Lands out, start casting any or drops. If Tron is not there you have two options. The first one is panic and start casting anything to draw or fetch them out. Your other option requires a poker face. If in your panic you draw out Quicksilver Amulet, or just started with it in your hand, KEEP PANICKING! Act like everything is wrong. Cast this card. They will never expect it since this card is rarely seen in a deck like this. This is not fool proof because that is Artifact removal bait, however, as long as it stays up, you can start casting anything you could normally cast if you had Tron. There is also a chance for an early Emrakul, the Aeons Torn win condition turn 5. This is also good once you get late game Tron.

Turn 6+: Midrange slugfest begins. If during Turns 1-5 you made good use of any Condescends, any fast moving aggro decks would be slowed down just enough for you to start casting everything you got. Using All Is Dust after this will help secure win conditions from here on. If you got Quicksilver Amulet anytime between turns 3-6, start making massive walls for cheap. For example, Platinum Emperion for with QSA, and then Platinum Angel for its normal cost for a cheap block, or All Is Dust for normal cost and drop down Blightsteel Colossus or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for with QSA. Then swing. (Most of the time if you cast this combo, the opponent will concede because there is very little they could do to stop this) DO NOT FORGET You can cast Endless One at any time!

Sideboard:

If you are up against another Tron, or Artifact affinity deck, drop the two All Is Dusts and two of another card for four Trickbinds. This is to prevent some of the nastiness that comes with Tron/Artifact affinity decks could bring.

This deck is very very nasty. Trust me, your opponent will be a living salt lick.

Dropped My Mindslavers, Academy Ruins, Wurmcoil Engine, and Sundering Titans. I feel like as good as the Mindslaver+Academy Ruins combo is for a win condition, it is taking up too much space for much needed utility. Plus getting the Mana in place to pop it off if all else fails is WAY to slow and can be negated by control. On top of that Wurmcoil Engine and Sundering Titan were in the same boat. They were just there to give me something to play, but they both were rather expensive. being and respectively. So I changed them out for the cheaper and more synergizing Endless One and Kozilek's Channeler. Not only do a get one creature that I could play on any turn, but the other creature gives me a 4/4 that I could tap for . Added to replace the combo is well needed control through Skyline Cascade and Titan's Presence. Skyline Cascade not only rounds out more reliable mana, but you can tap a big nasty for one turn when played. It really helps in early game because you can hold off a massive attack for at least one turn and sometimes that is all you need. Titan's Presence is AWESOME. Since all the colorless creature cards you have are all pretty big, casting this can get rid of any annoying creature your opponent controls. It is wonderful.

As you can see, Battle for Zendikar was a MASSIVE buff for this deck type.
