FATTIES FATTIES TWO BY FOUR

...though 2/4 is a lot smaller than the fatties in this deck.

Inspired by deck:ruric-thar-the-beatdown, this is a Ruric Thar, the Unbowed EDH/Commander deck focusing on ramping into and dropping huge creatures while keeping your opponents from doing a lot of the things their decks want to do (well, not without taking damage to the face).

Because of Ruric Thar's ability, the deck is primarily creatures. They come in three stripes: mana dorks/rampers (Borderland Ranger, Sakura-Tribe Elder), badass fatties with swingy effects (Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Xenagos, God of Revels), and utility creatures (Acidic Slime, Mwonvuli Beast Tracker). The goal is to ramp up using your small creatures, then start pumping out the fatties.

Non-creatures are kept to a minimum, and non-permanents to a serious minimum, because of Ruric Thar himself and to make Primal Surge useful. The three planeswalkers (Domri Rade, Xenagos, the Reveler, and Garruk, Caller of Beasts) all assist with the deck's main purpose - Domri gets creatures into your hand (and makes those in play awesome if he can ultimate), Xenagos ramps and creates tokens (and dumps out creatures for his ultimate), and Garruk gets creatures into your hand and onto the battlefield (and doubles your value for creatures if he can ultimate). The two swords are just general value and offer decent help to what the deck is trying to do. Stranglehold shuts down those extra turn fiends and makes it harder for your opponents to tutor for a solution to Ruric Thar. Finally, what few instants and sorceries there are beyond Surge are there to bolster the deck's weaknesses (enchantments and artifacts, hence Back to Nature and Shatterstorm) and to help find what you need in the deck (Tooth and Nail).
