A fictional flag with a Star Trek vibe

Introduction:

The Red-Green Alliance wants to destroy this land! Are you tired of the Communists telling us we need to fundamentally transform this land or the alt-Left environ-whackos of the world telling us the world is going to end in 12 years? If that isn't enough, they want to levy an Overabundance of taxes on us to make things really painful. Well, Klothys, God of Destiny gives us a glimpse of what that apocalyptic world would look like!

See what happens when the Left unleashes their Devastating Dreams and policies to avert the Impending Disaster of "global warming." Their Thoughts of Ruin that climate change will bring forms the Epicenter of their destructive policies. They want to put a Stranglehold on our economy and land as a whole. In their utopian worldview with their "Green New Deal," their policies will sprout an Eidolon of Blossoms to prevent the glaciers from melting and forming a Jokulhaups that will end our lives as we know it!

Overall Goal:

The goal here is to establish some mana dorks and enchantress related cards to ensure the mana flows and the cards keep coming in. We want to essentially tax everything to make it painful and slowly ping everyone down just for playing magic. Once ahead we can utilize our MLD spells so we can hopefully break parity. A word of caution: a lot of MLD cards also wipe out our mana dorks so do take note. However, these also allow us to reset the board state should someone be utilizing a go-wide strategy. There is also a bit of artifact hate in case our opponents choose to use a plethora of mana rocks.

I should also note that while lands are blowing up I tried to implement ways to get mana either from mana dorks or from enchantments. For example, Klothys, God of Destiny lets us gain a or if we exile a land from a GY. Frontier Siege nets us during both of our main phases. Need more mana? Throw down a Forest and use Orcish Lumberjack to chop it down (after tapping the Forest first for mana of course!). Herald of the Pantheon lowers CC of our enchantments and nets us some precious life gain. Elfhame Sanctuary lets you mana fix instead of drawing. Domri, Anarch of Bolas is unaffected by (most) board wipes and prevents counter spells for our critters. Overabundance nets us a 2 for 1 at a cost. Hopefully these effects will ease the loss of lands. Since several of these are enchantments, we may benefit from the enchantress theme as well. If all else fails Splendid Reclamation is a thing.

The deck doesn’t run a whole lot of duals for the simple fact that they are non-basic. Ruination is a thing that I would rather hose wedge color decks with.

Why Klothys?

Klothys actually fills multiple roles for us and does exactly what this deck wants to do. First off she is only 3 CMC. In a deck that blows up lands low cost spells are key. She can generate mana for us which is also needed when nana is scarce. Likewise, she can cause pain and net us life. A lot of our pain spells are symmetrical. This means that any life gain will put us ahead of our opponents. She is an enchantment that can draw us cards with the enchantress theme. Lastly, she acts as GY hate.

Interactions:

Some interesting interactions I have noted:

Tectonic Instability + Winter Orb: Locks opponents... well everybody unless they give up land drops.

Steam Vines/ Kudzu + Tectonic Instability/ War's Toll: Minor thing but hey, instantly destroys a land if they go for a land drop.

Any MLD + Eidolon of the Great Revel/ Pyrostatic Pillar: Makes for really painful recoveries.

Spellshock/ Cindervines: Prevent storm.

Basically, the deck interacts with the board state quite often. Several different enchantments can make things really painful to opponents depending on what they're trying to achieve.
