Change all the checklands to shocklands simply because you have no way of making them not come out tapped and then its pretty much perfect. Wondering if anymore slivers are yet to be released now. If they decide to bring a hexproof or indestructible sliver out that would be op but it would be amusing.
don't see much difference in this and most of the other "horrible" sliver builds out there. You have some slivers whose effects don't stack as 4 ofs and yes with the galerider, manaweft and blur, you want to make sure you getekeep the effect on the board. whereas other ones like Syphon, Striking, and Sentinel are just going to be dead drops if you have one out and 3 in hand. You have no way to protect your slivers should a ratchet bobmb go off for say 2 or 3, or any protection from any removal as far as I can see. So why id this the "real" sliver deck m14?
This is the current build for my sliver deck4 manaweft2 sentinel3 steelform2 blur2 striking3 megantic4 predatory3 galerider2 syphon 3 bonescythe2 thorncaster
3 boros charm3 domri rade
4 mutavault4 cavern of souls4 rootbound crag4 sunpetal grove4 temple garden4 stomping ground
Through testing i have found vigilance to be almost the best ability vs the fast aggro decks, it allows us to attack then use them to cast more spells after combat.I have found domri to be the best card drawing we have available because plainswalkers are difficult to kill. Boros charm can kill plainswalkers, decent finisher, and protects our slivers from board wipes.
Thats just my advice hope it helps.
Sorry but I can't help be skeptical about this sliver build. you've got 34 creatures as previously mention many of which provide non stackable buffs. You're mana curve tops out at 6 and is pretty heavy after 3 CMC and you're only running 18 land. Granted with the mana ramp sliver you're mana shouldn't be too much of an issue except when they get blasted off the table the turn you throw it down. This deck should have ~24/26 slivers in it with protection in there to keep them on the table. If you're going to run your mana curve heavy in the 3 CMC+ range you'll likely want 20-22 land in there to insure that you'll be able to drop the 6 cmc slivers by turn 6. And the land you run (albeit dependent on the dual lands coming out in M14 and expansion blocks) should at the very least have the capabilities of coming into play untapped, ie shocklands that count as both of their land types in conjunction with the lands that need a mountains / plains / forest / etc to come into play untapped. This deck needs a pretty major overhaul if you want it to compete with some of the post rotation decks that are up on this site.
I love how you say you hate seeing horrible sliver decks, when this deck is equally as bad... Why have first strike AND double strike slivers? keep the double strike slivers and replace Striking Sliver with 4 Manaweft Sliver . You really need them. replace something to have at least 2 Door of Destinies you also need Trample... You don't need 4 Vigilance slivers... take two out and put in 2 Groundshaker Sliver You also have 4 Syphon Sliver ... in my honest opinion, Congregate is way more viable then keeping the black slivers... 2 Path of Bravery and 2 Congregate would be more viable for this sliver deck, but if you really need them, keep 2 at the maximum
here is a good sliver deck, if I say so myself.
it really just looks like u got alot of slivers and put them in a deck.. which is what everyone else has done on this site. i dont see any difference in this deck compared to any other sliver deck ive seen. so, u really cant say u r tired of seeing "horrible sliver builds" because theyre all the same. im not downing on u man, i just think u need actual spells to protect your slivers... i am also working on a sliver deck. its a little harder to build than i thought. u cant just put a bunch of slivers together and expect to win. try looking for spells that target all of your creatures. there are charm spells that do so, and u will have other choices in those spells to protect yourself, and your creatues.good luck man!
I put in Garruk's Horde and with the super heavy creature base with every creature tapping for mana it's the sackiest seven drop I've seen in Slivers in a long time. If you're willing to put a seven drop in like Groundshaker Sliver . Garruk's Horde lets you get a lot more creatures out because you'll be able to play an average of about 3 extra slivers from the top of your deck each turn without taking a hit to your cards in hand.
