A primer/planner for my Queen Marchesa EDH.

Regality and brutality go hand in hand with the one, the only, Queen Marchesa of the High City of Paliano. Usurping Brago through murder and subterfuge, the assassin once known as The Black Rose has risen to new heights and graces our EDH tables with her presence. Truly, we live in blessed times.

The strategy of this deck is to build a castle, your pillowfort, around the Queen to protect her from any would-be-coups. You're her knight in shining armor and she depends on you to defend the throne. Once the castle is erected, you begin your taxing of your citizens, the other players, through group slug mechanics and stax elements. Finally, you must assemble your legion of warriors and go to war. A simple, but highly political deck, Queen Marchesa is for those who wish to play an aggressive strategy focused on deception, defense, and, once the time is right, imposing your will on your playgroup.

This is my current list, but is not my final. Expect many updates as I fine tune the deck and upgrade to the more expensive pieces I currently lack.

Lightning Greaves replaced with Whispersilk Cloak

The queen needs protection and both option offer it. While greaves is far more efficient, whispersilk is on point flavor wise and aids us when one of our opponents claims the monarchy for themselves.
