This deck focuses on building up mana very early in the game and filling your graveyard with big threats. Then, you use Exhume to bring them to the battlefield and destroy!

The Way It Works

You’ve got tons of ritual spells (as in spells that make mana for you), including Cabal Ritual, Dark Ritual, and Rite of Flame. Using these spells, you can play tons of draw spells like Faithless Looting and Careful Study and discard cards like your beaters, Dragon Breath, or Stinkweed Imp. Here’s how the combo works for those of you who don’t know. You get a beater in the graveyard (Ulamog's Crusher and Hand of Emrakul) and Dragon Breath if you want it to have haste, and then you use Exhume to RIPPPPP it from the graveyard and SLAMMMMM it onto the battlefield super early. Then sit back and watch the hope drain from your opponents eyes.

The Tedious Explanation of the Important Cards

Exhume

Exhume is the namesake of the deck, so obviously it’s a 4-of. We use it to SLAMMMMM our beaters on the field early in the game.

Ulamog’s Crusher

Our primary beater of the deck. Annihilator 2 can destroy an enemies boardstate early game, in addition to massive heaps of damage.

Dragon Breath

Dragon Breath can be YEETEDDDDD into the graveyard (along with beaters) with your many discard outlets (Faithless Looting, Careful Study, and Putrid Imp). Why do you want this exactly? Because when your beaters come in, the Dragon Breath comes from the graveyard too, ATTACHED TO THE BEATER. This gives it haste and you can swing in the turn the beater comes in. Pretty great!

This card can be put in the graveyard and then dredged back to your hand, potentially putting beaters into your graveyard. Don’t dredge unless you already have an Exhume though, because you might put your Exhume into the graveyard by accident.

I love this card. Turn 1 I spam a bunch of rituals and draw/discard spells and then play him. Early beater that doesn’t even need to be Exhumeed
