The "Phantasma-llusions"

Modern Aggro Mono-Blue Tribal

Enganeer

I've been trying to make a solid deck for my brother for the past year, I think I've finally found a relatively inexpensive (not counting Phantasmal Image, that guy's costly) deck that works very well.

The turn one plays have been better, but once you get that second land, things can get out of hand. The creatures are efficiently costed as they come and can be surprisingly resilient to removal with Lord of the Unreal on the board, despite being illusions. Tons of built in evasion, lots of cloning, some removal to stall and force openings in your opponents defenses. The star creatures in this deck are Krovikan Mist : wicked powerful creature in illusion tribal with evasion and no downside. Phantasmal Image: Are you sure the card limit is four, cause I want to run eighteen of these guys, always an illusion, no matter what they copy (and he buffs himself if he copies Lord of the Unreal), extreme versatility in being able to copy anything, and holy crap, he's only two mana. Lord of the Unreal: I run four for a reason, it is not only a two mana lord, but he entirely negates the downside of half my creature spells, shame he's not an illusion himself.
