We can study countless amounts of knowledge, from Goblin Lore to Alhammarret's Archive, and possibly never be able to answer the question:Can something bound by metal and wood be as alive as something bound by cartiledge and sinew?

This question is Burning Inquiry . The Tormenting Voice that drives us to Faithless Looting, discarding old research in favor of new on impulse alone in an attempt to Reforge the Soul of our selves and our creations if they truly have one or an equivalent thereof. This Gamble of an attempt of creation of life is a Dangeous Wager. Will it lead to a Shattered Perception of hopes and dreams? Or will it give us a Cathartic Reunion of friends and lovers long gone by?

Could we make a beating heart from a mechanical Rukh Egg ? Perhaps make a breathing creature from a Summoner's Egg . But what consequences would a creature created in such a way face? Does an artificial Quicksmith Genius have their own ideas or draw them from their creator and relay them through a lens of cynicism of knowing they are not flesh and blood and never will be? Would a stone Magus of the Wheel use their power to watch fate scamble about or simply act on our orders?

If an elemental is an idea given shape, is the ability to create a Living Inferno or a Tyrant of Discord proof that artificial life could have emotion? Would the tune of a Panharmonicon even be audible to a creation, and if so, would it be same to it as it's creator or something entirely different?

What makes something alive? Is it a heartbeat or a soul? Or is it a matter of being able to think for ones self-being? Nevertheless, the pursuit to make artificial life shall drive the most capable of scholars and mages until the moment it is finished, which could very easily be never.
