I utilize equipment cards to equip Balan at instant speed to dodge removal, evade blocks, and make life hard for my opponent.

Pros: commander damage is easy to achieve with equipment. Can use Nahiri as commander to recur equipments or create creatures for equipments. Can snowball with key cards (Stonehewer, leonin shikari, puresteel paladin). Doesn't mind a long game.

Cons: has a hard time against heavy control that can heavily bounce nonlands or decks with Dictate effects. Can't deal with infinite fog well, only win con is combat (works in the play group I have since no one runs infinite fogs but I added Mana Tithe and Lapse just in case, thinking about adding approach of the Second Sun). Artifact destruction can be dealt with due to recursion in the deck. Card draw is a little lacking (added Staff of Nin, SoFI, etc)
