Maybeboard

Mass buff artifact creatures.

A friend said I should try and make this deck modern legal, but the problem is that I will have less colored mana and less land affinity, plus I would lose my protection, Jhoira's Toolbox and my nice artifact that untaps with Unwinding Clock, Power Matrix .

Should I consider using proliferate?Additionally dropping the 8-post may not be a bad idea so that I can get the right colors of mana more often, but then I'm left without ramp. :/

CREATURES

Etherium Sculptor is a creature I'm debating whether or not to use since it would make every everything cheaper and help play Phyrexian Juggernaut , but that's all it's good for other than an affinity booster.

Ethersworn Canonist is pretty good since it's a solid 2/2 that can slow the other player down.

Jhoira's Toolbox is mostly just there for the regeneration and as an affinity booster.

Master of Etherium isn't bad since he relies on affinity and gives a small +1/+1 boost to my other creatures.

Hangarback Walker is a great card since I can bring it out cheaply or dump excess mana onto it and if an opponent destroys it then I get an army of 1/1 thopters. :D

Steel Overseer is fantastic since it combos with Unwinding Clock and lets me upgrade my artifact creatures even more.

ARTIFACTS

Cranial Plating is a must have. It turns weak creatures into monsters on top of the +1/+1 counters from my Steel Overseers.

Power Matrix is fantastic, but I may also use another artifact that grants flying. The reasoning for choosing it is that since it untaps for Unwinding Clock I can use it on a different target unlike equipment and even if they have something in the air the +1/+1, first strike, and trample would deny them a chump block. I picked it simply due to the versatility of this artifact in conjunction with Unwinding Clock. Amazing it not only came from this set, but hasn't had a reprint.

Scourglass is a one sided board wipe for me so I may consider adding a third one.

Unwinding Clock grants a pseudo vigilance to my creatures and lets me use Steel Overseer and Power Matrix again on my opponent's turn. Luv it.

INSTANTS/SORCERIES

As much as I love Dispatch, Thoughtcast is needed a lot more in this deck.

I don't quite think that it would be worth splashing red for Galvanic Blast.

LAND HO!

Ancient Den , Seat of the Synod , and Darksteel Citadel are affinity boosters, but I might replace Darksteel Citadel with something dual colored.

Cloudpost and Glimmerpost are for more mana and a bit of life.

Seachrome Coast and Adarkar Wastes are the dual lands I settled on since Seachrome Coast comes in untapped early and Adarkar Wastes should only be used for color if I really need it while Glimmerpost pretty much negates the damage inflicted.

I also considered Glimmervoid, but I don't feel like paying that much for the use I'm gonna get out of it. Probably the best choice for my set of multi colored lands though. :l

MAYBEBOARD

Darksteel Juggernaut is nice, but I'm not sure if I should use it or Phyrexian Juggernaut . I'm also considering Soul of New Phyrexia to fill up my big guy slot.

Etched Champion can ignore defenses and removal as soon as I fulfill metalcraft (which I will), so that's definitely something to consider.

Fabricate, Tinker , and Transmute Artifact are all search cards that I considered, but my deck seems to do fine in playtesting without the searching.

Junk Diver could be nice for reviving an artifact, but useless after that.

Phyrexian Metamorph is awesome, but I don't think he has a place in my deck.

Spellskite is less of a maybe and more of a I'll get it for my sideboard some other time. Right along with a set of Mana Leak to counter anti-artifact cards.

PERFORMANCE

I somehow end up relying on Jhoira's Toolbox or Etherium Sculptor being buffed by Cranial Plating a lot. Power Matrix is good, but being a drop increases dificulty of playing it. Etherium Sculptor does better in game than I thought it would do on paper since it only costs to play and speeds things up. I'm considering removing Cloudpost and Glimmerpost for more colored lands if I find the ramp to be hardly useful, because it hasn't helped me all that much and I find I need colored more than more colorless a lot of times.

I don't pull Unwinding Clock as much as I'd like, but unless I torture my poor wallet and get Grim Monolith it's mostly just for pseudo vigilance.

Updates Add

It hasn't been tournament tested, but the deck works pretty well. My largest issue so far is getting a lot of colorless mana, but not all the colored mana I want/need. It also takes time to set up and the only counter to death cards are my 3 Jhoira's Toolbox's.

I'm also considering maybe adding black.
