The next deck in my series of I F#!king Hate Delver.
Blue Black Standard Control. Mill to win. I have questions:
nemesis101: I tried Sign in Blood last night- I can't really afford the life loss, because if the draw doesn't get me a kill spell when I need it, I end up taking lots of damage. I thought of the Super Contagion Bros. as dual purpose- for killing and for grindclock. Took out the clock (and Contagion Bros,) because now I'm thinking Sands is the way to go. What do you think of this draft?
This is what I would change. First, I would fit in 4 Jace, Memory Adept for sure. Then 4 Pristine Talisman and 4 Snapcaster Mage . Maybe 1 Sword of Body and Mind . Then 4 Sign in Blood , 2 Tamiyo, the Moon Sage , 2 Sands of Delirium (awesome card), 1 Gilded Lotus . 4 counter spells (either Mana Leak or Dissipate ) Then black removal like Doom Blade , Murder , Mutilate , card:Black Sun's Zenith, etc...You could also consider Invisible Stalker with that Sword of Body and Mind . That would do some crazy milling. Cards like Dream Twist are cool, but it doesn't make a big enough impact on a 60 card deck to hold up to cards like Mind Sculpt and Jace, Memory Adept .
The idea of proliferating the Grindclock I feel like is doing too much. You want that Grindclock to mill lots right now. Thats why Jace, Memory Adept and Sands of Delirium are so much more powerful. And then you can fill up spots with control cards, because you'll need them to survive.
