@APPLE01DOJ:: Unfortunately, it's a bit too slow since the only creature I would put it on would be Metalworker , who taps for mana anyway.

This looks like fun. I've play-tested it a couple of times and it seems pretty consistent. What decks have you tested against? How does it fare against control like U/W Miracles?
Could a single Trading Post be a worthy addition? maybe in the SB...

@CalciferDK: I just switched to the 12-post build (before I was running Mishra's Factory and Darksteel Citadel ) and I can say this version with Cloudpost is a lot easier to mulligan with. I don't know that I'd play with Trading Post since Staff of Domination makes infinite....everything...once you have a Metalworker and three artifacts in hand. The decks I've played against:
Goblins. Mainly a skill matchup. Wasteland hurts and AEther Vial plays around sphere effects. You can blow them out, though, with Chalice of the Void on 1 and 2. They can't race Wurmcoil Engine , either.
Dredge (with mana sources). Unlike the Vintage matchup, this one isn't as bad. Chalice of the Void on 0 and 1 really messes with their game plan. They also can't kill you before you activate Kuldotha Forgemaster , which usually results in them trying to race Blightsteel Colossus or getting blown out by Steel Hellkite .
U/W Miracles. Really rough matchup. They aren't going to let things resolve. Fortunately, Counterbalance doesn't do anything since most of your stuff is CMC 3 or more. You still have to play through Force of Will and they always have an active Terminus .
BUG Superfriends (no Shardless Agent , uses Pernicious Deed ). Another rough one. The deck I was playing against was packing Stifle and Daze mainboard. It makes it hard to resolve a Metalworker . Luckily, this was a homebrew, so I doubt we'll be seeing more of it.
ANT. Chalice of the Void on one or Trinisphere and they scoop.
Darkblade. You know what's better than Batterskull ? Sundering Titan . Still have to play through a lot of countermagic, though. Not nearly as much as Miracles or BUG.
2-Land Belcher. This depends on how fast you can get a Kuldotha Forgemaster or Wurmcoil Engine up and running. Even then, you have to hope they don't play Goblin Charbelcher and instead go for Empty the Warrens . Probably one of the worst matchups game one to have.
Omnishow. Chalice of the Void on one or two are critical, or you have to have Spine of Ish Sah ready to go for the Show and Tell . The problem is all that blue means lots of counterspells and you can't Wasteland anything.

Ahh didn't realize the infinite combo there.. I thought the tradingpost could be a real beating against the miracles (recurring/sacing wurmcoils and sundering titans). But i guess it is quite inefficient compared to the staff:)

@XTowelie: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn indeed costs too much mana. I have trouble casting Blightsteel Colossus from my hand. He's also not an artifact, so I can't dig him up with Kuldotha Forgemaster . Nor does he add mana with Metalworker . Lastly, any Lodestone Golem s are going to make him cost one more mana. These are the same reasons I don't play Karn Liberated .
I've thought about Expedition Map s before and you'll see 12-post decks with them, but this one is running Chalice of the Void . On turn one, I'm either playing Metalworker , Chalice of the Void for one, or Cloudpost into play tapped. Voltaic Key untaps Metalworker and Grim Monolith , so I'd be more inclined to pay that (it leads to stupid things like turn two Blightsteel Colossus ). Seeing as how I'm not playing Voltaic Key , I'm hesitant to include Expedition Map . It's even more problematic if I get hit by Wasteland , in which case, I may not be able to even activate it.
But anyway, this archetype is the reason Cloudpost is banned in Modern. Tron wishes it were this consistent lol.
