1. Zurgo Helmsmasher man of steel himself! with haste for super speed, 7 power for super strength, and indestructible for invulnerability.
  2. Ruinous Ultimatum for superbreath
  3. Cobbled Wings, Wings of Hubris and Mighty Leap for flight given that superman did not have flight in the first comics my superman may also gain flight later
  4. Flawless Maneuver used to save all the Citizens of Metropoils
  5. Seize the Day how superman will continue to fight
Kryptonite in this deck will be -1/-1 counters Black Sun's Zenith
+1/+1 counters are the sun yellow sun of earth, the longer Zurgo Helmsmasher stays on the battlefield the more +1/+1 counters and the stronger he gets. Almost like he gets he own training montage.
  1. The scene is set looking out over a red city landscape Mountain as Clack Kent Zurgo Bellstriker walks down the street
  2. Clack walks past a Godless Shrine, where he sees a lost Sol Ring sitting on the ground, he picks it up the beautiful ring makes him think as he looks towards the sky admiring the stone work on the shrine taking note the Arcane Signet just below one of the statues
  3. He thought how much culture was in the city of Metropoils looking just beside the shrine was an Ancient Tomb. he kept walking passing a Stormfist Crusader when he rounded the corner just before getting to the office for the Planet he sees Lois Lane Queen Marchesa
  4. Clack and Lois say good morning as they enter the office tower Command Tower. on the top floor they walk past the Boros Signet on the wall into Perry Whites General Kudro of Drannith office, he is on the phone saying something about somebodies idea of Vigilante Justice
  1. In a darker part of the city Swamp, Lex Luthor Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, walks into a room holding what looks to be an Assault Suit. He looks at it impressed, good good he saids now we just need a Skullclamp and my plan will be prefect!
  2. As Lex Walks into his Blood Crypt he orders Hanweir Militia Captain   to make a Sanctuary Lockdown as he equips himself with the Assault Suit. For today would be the day of a Hero's Downfall he said as he laughed evilly Whahahaha!
  3. As Clack, Lois, and Jimmy Olsen Tajic, Legion's Edge are sent out to search for answers about who vigilante is and where he came from, they find themselves traveling down the Path of Ancestry, where they to meet a Species Specialist who tells them the "man" in question is not human.
  4. Not surprised to learn that there may be a resident of Metropoils who was not human the trio took the Homeward Path for the night. (the theme music starts playing in the background) As they wondered what kind of other Underworld Connections and Greed might also be under the surface of Metropoils. Clack walked alone back to his place as he heard a scream. help help I dont want to be a Victim of Night as Clack dashes towards the nearest phone booth the theme music gets louder.
  1. Bang seemingly out of nowhere Superman Zurgo Helmsmasher appears! as he hastily races into combat! (opponent blocks and the creature dies) Throw a new part of the city Plains he finds he has run into a trap. as he looks for the voice he heard calling fro help he sees a recording box and Lex Luthor armed with an Assault Suit. Good evening saids Lex. What are you up too Superman Demands. Nothing Lex replies I'm simply trying to help you become more powerful. I have a gift for you he saids as he pulls out the Skullclamp. I do not need your help replies Superman. Oh but you will when the Black Sun's Zenith appears. (with X=2).
  2. An opponents turn you give them Yawgmoth, Thran Physician forgetting he can proliferate the -1/-1 counters on your creatures including Zurgo Helmsmasher. and of course they do. Zurgo Helmsmasher is put back into the command zone. Luckily after the first time you use Homeward Path and all of the human citizens of Metropoils survive.
  3. Superman Returns Zurgo Helmsmasher too Seize the Day in a Moment of Heroism he takes a Mighty Leap into combat! He fines himself victorious after 2 attacks.

  1. Zurgo's and K'rrik are the only nonhumans in the deck
  2. The mana works in the story
  3. This deck building got me to watch Man of Steel the the first time after I wrote the story and I see I'm a little off.
  4. My deck has a human theme because its the humans in these super hero movies that are the most relatable, it was also a good way to show Zurgo was different, and the City of Metropoils is full of humans
  5. The Story is a game on edh, and ends with Zurgo doing 21 commander damage to a player, there is some back ground stuff going on with the monarch and some assassins off camera.
  6. I'm also assuming the old commander dies rule so superman doesn't die in the as a plot hole that i couldn't find a different work around well will say it was just to build suspends.
