I was enamored with this whole cycle (except Dragonlord Kolaghan ) when I saw that they were Elder Dragons. I thought it only appropriate that I make an EDH deck with an actual Elder Dragon as the commander. I have a bad Xenagos, God of Revels deck that I need to revamp, and this is the perfect opportunity!

The deck is all about dragons, ramping into dragons, attacking with dragons, and getting more dragons.

Atarka, World Render might be a better general. but she's not an elder dragon.

EDIT: After her debut night, I can say this: Dragons are a very powerful creature type. Atarka comes down very quickly with all the ramp in the deck and clears the board of problem planeswalkers or generals. Nath of the Gilt-Leaf and Rafiq of the Many have each been roasted several times. Then, Atarka's huge 8/8 flying body smashes in for a lot of general damage. She doesn't live long, but re-casting her is basically upside, between her entry burn, Dragon Tempest and things like Opal Palace. The deck is self-synergistic enough that if Atarka becomes too expensive to cast, the deck still functions fine.
