An infinite combo reliant, Sharuum the Hegemon list.

More suited for slower, political multiplayer games, but is currently primarily played 1v1 in a control heavy meta. Intentionally missing individually powerful creatures to dodge Bribery effects.

While it may not always be optimal, this is my personal deck list. As such, some card choices may seem weird due to personal availability, and some construction choices may seem silly due to my personal biases regarding gameplay.

Infinite Mana

The infinite mana combos in this deck all produce infinite and do not require filtering for costs. They are also all in the form of Mana Rock + Reset + Fireball.

Rock + Reset Combinations

Fireballs

The drain on these spells will largely be irrelevant, though it may be worth occasionally saving Exsanguinate for an expensive kill turn and using Debt to the Deathless to stay alive.

Other mana sinks

Gravestorm

The more classic Sharuum the Hegemon combos are also included. Each is of the form Sharuum the Hegemon + Clone + Finisher.

Further Notes

  • Despite its artifact theme, this deck is extremely color hungry, especially for the Gravestorm kill. Good fixing and a flexible mana base is almost a necessity. My win rate jumped noticeably after adding signets and filter lands.
  • Mycosynth Lattice is an interesting card. It synergizes well with parts of both combo types. You can resurrect anything you want with Sharuum the Hegemon and cast anything you want with off infinite if you're missing a finisher, but now every permanent you put in play is susceptible to the hate that people were looking for for you anyway. In my experience, a high risk for win more.
  • Hanna's Custody deserves being revisited. It can at times at massively helpful. Othertimes, the shroud is a major footgun, but this has been reduced as reliance on Voltaic Key for ramp lessens.
  • I personally am not a huge fan of creatures, which is reflected in this deck's construction. Keeping down the amount of creatures that need to stay on the board allows the deck to lean very heavily on Wrath of God effects instead of targeted removal.
