Paper Pauper UG Sacrifice (WIP)
Simic Bloodbriar + Soldevi Sage = A Big Bloodbrain
The idea here is to get a whole bunch of landfall, then sac those lands for a whole bunch of cards. Meanwhile, Bloodbriar is here.
- Look for Elvish Pioneer + 3-4 lands in your opening hand, or else start with a lifeland or an Evolving Wilds.
- If you have an Adventuring Gear, play it early and get extra value for Brian out of your landfalls.
- Elvish Pioneer, Coiling Oracle and Lay of the Land can help you keep playing lands.
- Once you get all those lands out, Soldevi Sage and Perilous Research can squeeze extra value out of them besides mana. Thus, remember to tap for mana and _then_ sacrifice the land whenever possible.
- Stoic Builder and Pulse of Murasa will get lands back from the graveyard after you sacrifice them (or pitch them to Soldevi Sage's ability).
- Evolving Wilds is not only good for land-fixing, but it triggers Brian. The same is true for Cradle of the Accursed, because it does more than just get you an extra body in this deck.
- Two copies of Ranger's Guile in mainboard for protection against removal probably isn't enough, but that's why I'm going to put two more in the sideboard.
