Bling Update —Oct. 4, 2016

I have replaced my Italian Mana Drain for a Judge Promo Mana Drainfoil and I have replaced my original Force of Will for a foil Force of Willfoil

Replaced the following cards with the Kaladesh Invention versions:

Sol Ringfoil, Mana Cryptfoil, Mox Opalfoil, Chrome Moxfoil, Lightning Greavesfoil, Scroll Rackfoil,

How come you skipped things like Greater Auramancy or ways to recur your enchantments from the yard? What do you do if someone Krosan Grips your necropotence?

PlattBonnay I have Replenish to recur enchantments from the graveyard. I don't give my enchantments shroud, but I may think about putting Greater Auramancy back in to see if I can hard cast it after I get cards like Necropotence or Vanishing or Solitary Confinement out.

The only issue with Greater Auramancy is I have to decide what slot in the deck it needs to take up and I also would never tutor for it.

Very consistent and well-built deck! Do you find that you are getting enough mileage out of Stoneforge Mystic given that you have only two targets? I am considering running her in my Bruna list The Queen of Alpha Strikes with the same two targets as you.

Broliver Stoneforge Mystic pulls its own weight for sure. It'll either pull you one of the two equipment you always want to see at every stage of the game or it will be something you can pitch to Chrome Mox or just be another card in hand when wearing Empyrial Armor.

Excellent looking deck on paper. The mana Curve is on point, and your card selection is excellent.

Your attitude on how to play it and the feeling you want to give your opponents really reminds me of what I want in my Oloro deck, #SorryNotSorry. Perhaps you'll like it too.

I've always loved this deck ever since it was posted on YouTube. I really like the idea of the 24k gold leaf too.

I have Zur in Gold Dragonshield sleeves and that's about as far as I will go besides for foiling the deck out. I just prefer the foils with their pristine black borders.

Anyway this +1 has been a long time coming. Your deck was one of the decks that I used as inspiration for my Zur deck.

I would say add some Enchantment Creatures from Theros so you can get free creatures too

The only red shirt in this deck is Zur. So who is the real general?

btw, Jean-Luc Picard is better. He had to fight the borg

I don't know why, but I look at the manabase first when I'm looking at some list here. Why do your run artifacts lands? The more people run Sol Ring and Mana Crypt, the more people will play artifact hate. That's what happend in my playgroup. So here every red deck plays Vandalblast. So why would you run the risk of getting also your land blown up?

Also why no Hall of the Bandit Lord?

Ender666666 Thank you! I'll check out your deck as well.

RawrMcRawr Yeah, I've thought about Stasis a lot and the it boils down to a couple of things for me. This build doesn't spend much time trying to stop people from playing their decks how they'd like. That's a very specific feel i'm going for there. Plus I give my friends enough grief about stax that I couldn't play that card. The Daybreak Coronet as a backup life gain option only. Necropotence takes a heavy toll.

iAzire Thank you very much. I'm glad that you like it. The build has been very consistent through the sets released in the last few years which speaks to it's refined purpose and construction.

Jace-Beleren-Body-Pillow Those are cool to pull out, but even before a single creature for blocking I would tutor up pillow fort cards like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda.

Huppster05 With any luck I will be able to get a foil Force of Will. I don't think I can get 100% foils without saying goodbye to cards I really want, so if it's not ridiculously expensive, I'll get one.

SyrJet Misdirection is something I've been thinking about a lot. Would you replace a different counter spell for it, or would you cannibalize another slot for it?

Mr_M03 Great thoughts. The artifact lands are a marginal way to increase my chances of getting Mox Opal online early enough to get a major advantage with casting Zur. I am drawing a blank trying to think of the last time one of them was blown up. I'm sure it has happened, but it's really infrequent. And lastly there is no Hall of the Bandit Lord because it comes into play tapped and doesn't tap for . It's more important to protect Zur with a Counterspell than it is to attack with him the turn I cast him. The truth is that it's not far off the list, but I would need to cut a land that produces or which is hard for me to do. What would you cut?
