Sideboard

I wanted to Make a GW Angels deck, but what I ended up with is something entirely different. One of my favorite recent Legendary Creatures is Shalai, Voice of Plenty, for her art, and for giving your little people hexproof. I immediately knew that I wanted to combo her with Avacyn, Angel Of Hope, to make my team very hard to kill.

Well, while I was making this deck, I decided I wanted a top down design. A fantasy world where Angels guarded those in need from threats and shaped the mortal world from looming threats. Hence, each card in this deck serves to spotlight and emanate the feelings of a fantastical adventure in a mythical world. I plan to make Alters of the card sand lands in this deck, and use it in my playgroups commander adventures, or Planechase games to further those fantastical feelings. My ultimate goal is to not only have a board that is removal proof and to make my opponent's lives difficult through creatures like Gaddock Teeg and Blazing Archon (which might I add are able to be protected by Shalai and Avacyn), but to also have people see this deck at my LGS or wherever I am playing magic and have it evoke in them a sense of wonder and "coolness" that leaves new players and enfranchised ones with a plate of food for thought.
