The Iron Giant: Not Your Average Tin Man

Standard Affinity Artifact Combo Jank Mono-Blue

This is a mono-blue Colossus deck. It is packed with synergies and awesome interactions. We play colossus, more colossus, then connect twice. BAM! However, it is differing from other decks, and this is due to less puzzleknors and the presence of Engulf the Shore, Padeem, Consul of Innovation, and Saheeli's Artistry. I hope you enjoy this unique deck!

Creatures (17) Show

Glint-Nest Crane: This is a must have 4-of. It does exactly what we want in a two, being a decent blocker and finding artifacts for our colossus. Really the perfect card for the dck and is definitely a playset.

Filigree Familiar: A nice value card, it can cushion our life total, reduce three from the colossus, and trade super effectively. We need this in the deck for sheer value.

Padeem, Consul of Innovation: Definitely the funnest card in the deck. It protects our colossus from removal, which helps a lot because it's super annoyingwhen your colossus dies. Plus, it's a nice blocker, and pretty much draws you an extra card each turn.

Self-Assembler : This is a weird card that I'm not 100% sure of. However, it has proven to be awesome. You get to cast a TON of 4/4s that can crew and be awesome. It's great in a lomg game or midrange matchup, but it's not quite up to par on stats. However, I love it.

Metalwork Colossus: Um... Duh?

Spells (8) Show

Engulf the Shore: This is one of those weird cards that I'm running in the deck. It is great! If I have 2 collosus and 8 islands, I can just sweep away everything, amd then swing in for lethal. Plus, it keeps us safe from aggro decks.

Select for Inspection : Helps both fix our draws and provide some early ga,e disruption. Just a niche card.

Saheeli's Artistry: This is awesome. Bonkers, if you will. We can cast it to get 2 extra colossus OR we can copy some of the opponent's biggest threats. Just too good. Also, can be used to take out legendary creatures, even legendary artifacts.

Artifacts (11) Show

Cultivator's Caravan: This is another one of those must-have cards. It can attack fairly well, and it deducts a lot from your overall cost. Really fun and cool card.

Glassblower's Puzzleknot : Puzzleknots are the big players in this deck. 2-mana artifact is good, and it fixes our draws effectively.

Skysovereign, Consul Flagship: Awesome card, only one due to budget. Really strong for planeswalker removal and general raw power.

Woodweaver's Puzzleknot: Our other puzzleknot, it cushions our life total and provides a 2-mana artifact. Just another niche card.

Lands (24) Show

Inventors' Fair: Really great in this deck to heighten our life total and even dig up a colossus. Only due because of legendary, but it's an awesome card.

Sanctum of Ugin: This helps us chain together our colossus to go nuts with 10/10s. Really, really, really good.

Islands: Uh... Blue?

So, this deck is capable of amazing plays. We can go off really quickly and just smash face.

Ideal Curve Show

Turn 1: Land, pass

Turn 2: Land, puzzleknot, pass

Turn 3: Land, Cultivator's Caravan, pass.

Turn 4: Land, Skysovereign, Consul Flagship, pass.

Turn 5: Land, Metalwork Colossus, if you can, sac Sanctum of Ugin, then chain together some colossus! Crew flagship and swing.

Turn 6: Padeem, Consul of Innovation keeps us fueled and protects our creatures, then swing till dead.

Play 2 Show

With two Metalwork Colossus in play and a fair number of islands, we can cast Engulf the Shore and just swing for lethal. This is a solid win during a board stall.

Play 3 Show

Again with Metalwork Colossus in play, we can cast Saheeli's Artistry for 2 more 10/10s, then just demolish.
Basically, use your cards to their full extent to spam massive creatures.
I'm tuning for FNM and Game Day Aether Revolt, and want to find some consistent standard decks. So, these are the decks I'm considering.

It Was a Graveyard Smash!

U/R Nuclear Reactor

Devilish Vampire Budget

Thank you for taking the time to look at mh deck, and I'd love sideboard help as always, and any feedback appreciated as this is very much a work in progress. Happy smashing!

I love this deck and have enjoyed playing similar lately. Padeem and Saheeli's Artistry are especially nice cards that I tried for a little while, and although I prefer a quicker version of the deck those two will really help to go over the top. Have you played with Key to the City? Nothing so nice as unblockable 10/10's, and it's a 2-cost artifact that gives more card draw. Similarly, Prophetic Prism. Hard to say if Scry or straight card draw is better, but your version doesn't run a lot of card draw as is. Do you find that you have a hard time getting enough artifacts in play for Colossus with only 11 in the deck? I've been running 14, including 4 Hedron Archives, which aside from the clutch card draws is amazing for playing those high-cost cards like Padeem and Artistry without slowing down. I've also had some great success running Saheeli Rai, along with the Prisms to get her into play, as she can produce Colossus with Haste the same turn you play it, made unblockable with the Key, it's just pretty to watch.

One other suggestion, I was originally running 4 Engulfs in the main as well but found that the deck ran much more smoothly if I sideboarded most or all of them, since it does virtually nothing against quite a few popular decks (aetherworks, any control deck, etc).

Now I'm playing this as Izzet, check it out: Izzet Time for Artifacts? - 3-Time SS 4-0!

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback, Verado! I really like the idea of Saheeli Rai in the deck along with some red removal. Key to the City and Prophetic Prism are great suggestions! Thinking of even adding Combustible Gearhulk for extra spice. Thanks again!

Red removal works very well with this, aside from spot removal consider some bigger clears, especially Radiant Flames since it doesn't hurt your own guys, but Nahiri's Wrath is also awesome for removing bigger threats and you've got lots of high cmc cards to boost it. Might be worth throwing a few in the sideboard, one radiant flames will clear out almost everything an aggro player has, not to mention chump blockers.
