take out the [Jade Guardian]s and the [Tishana's Wayfinder]s and add in 2 more [Deeproot Champion]s and 2 more [Herald of Secret Streams]'. Those will be alot better and faster, with the fact it allows for better synergy with the counterspells on deeproot (gaining more +1/+1 counters) and the herald makes it so your entire board cannot be blocked. I'd also take out the [Old-Growth Dryads] and add in another [Shapers of nature] or a [Kopala, Warden of Waves] Add in 4x [Old-Growth Dryads] for the sideboard, cause if your opponent is playing Dinos, you've just given them more gas. I'd opt for another Kopala, seeing as it forces your opponent to pay extra mana to use spells/abillities to negate all of your board presence. Overall, good concept. But the creature lineup needs work.

looks much better, waker of the wilds seems good, but i'd see how well it does at FNM before anything else. I would, as a last note, take out Deeproot Warrior and put in 2 more Merfolk Branchwalker if you draw land, it's still card advantage; and you get the +1/+1 effect out, it's a permanent +1/+1 not just when blocked, and it is an extra 2 attack.
Other than that i'd say you're good.

Gearhulks are amazing in this +1/+1 build. I am running 3 and when they land and place 4 counters on a 1/1 hexproof merfolk, the opponent is just kinda stuck sitting. If you follow up with another one and stack the same merfolk, you now have a creature that can only be answered with a board wipe. It creates pressure that demands an immediate answer. Add in the herald of secret streams and the game goes much faster.

I also play Jade guardian as a 2 of due to the hexproof and placing a +1/+1 counter on any merfolk to enable the unblockable ability. Since most of the creatures can only be removed with boardwipes, heroic intervention or blossoming defense is a must in this kind of build. Kopala helps with the targeted removal against the non hexproof fishies but some backup protection is always a premium in creature heavy decks.
