~ This is certainly not your typical Zedruu hug deck. this is the deck you want to play if you want to lure your apponents into a false sense of security (cuz your playing zedruu), and then kill someone off in a single turn.

~ you pillowfort it up and start screwing over whoever appears to be winning. use politics to your advantage. if you give Steel Golem to the Rhys the Redeemed player, the rest of the table will love you. use spot removal to that end, and keep your boardwipes and counterspells in hand for when someone gets cheeky and tries to win without your permission. my personal favorite way to kill someone, is to AEtherize their field when they try to attack you, and just watch everyone else at the table remove them. ive had people scoop with that alone.

~ your own win cons consist of a few mind control mechanics, some plain straight value like Luminarch Ascension, as well as some infinite combos (working on infinite mill; dw, it's coming). you also have the jankier mechanics that only zedruu can pull off, like Illusions of Grandeur, and an early Aggressive Mining can be hilarious. if it is down to the last 2 players, then Academy Ruins + Mindslaver will do the job, but even without Academy Ruins, Mindslaver can still put in some work. We also have Splinter Twin combos with Midnight Guard, Pestermite, and Deceiver Exarch.

Currently testing out Hive Mind kills with Pact of the Titan, Pact of Negation, and Intervention Pact.

I'm working on finding someone with a sensei's top, and i also intend on swapping some of the pillow fort for more combo in the near future.

may soon be selling some modern to fill out this decks land base as well.

why am i not running

it goes on the field, and sits. i dont have many ways of bouncing it, so it never really puts any pressure on an opponent. i just feel like there are better cards to fill its slot

they are good ultra budget options for the deck, but they are very situational and even when they do their job, they're super low impact.

keep in mind that this deck is built for winning pod.

that said, all suggestions are welcome! =D

Updates Add

Major update to the deck! removed low impact enchantments, and creatures to be replaced with lots of draw and counter magic, among a few other things. like COMBOS! =D

also tweeked the mana base a little bit. the night i made this change, i went 4-0 with the rework and won the pod tournament. woop woop!

I'm loving where this deck is at now, but there is always room for improvement. still would love suggestions
