The Gitrog Monster

Ways to win:

Quillspike + Devoted Druid in graveyard with Necrotic Ooze on battlefield to generate infinite mana. Outlet? TBD. Or just sac to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.

Skirge Familiar/Oona's Prowler/Putrid Imp + The Gitrog Monster + Dakmor Salvage to mill yourself out and... I don't know... Living Death? With Kozi shuffling everything back in, eventually you'll be able to draw an ideal hand.

All right, I figured it out. Here's how it's going to work--"ideally". Gitrog and sac outlet are on the field (preferably Skirge Familiar or Necrotic Ooze with Skirge or Devoted Druid + Quillspike in the graveyard). Then have Dakmor Salvage in hand. Discard Salvage, draw trigger replaced with dredging--we'll only draw if we dredge a land, that will only be a problem if we don't have another dredge spell in the graveyard and in the last 2 or 3 cards of our library is a land.

Does that make sense? Be careful: small chance of decking yourself, essentially.

Anyway repeat until some things happen. If you have a Psychosis Crawler on the field--Awesome! Then you need to be careful with how you dredge and draw; this works better if accompanied by a Courser of Kruphix. So you dredge, then maybe draw, and then ping opponents with Crawler. We need to keep drawing. How? Gaea's Blessing when it's dredged--BOOM! Shuffle it and graveyard back into your library.

Courser is out so you know what you're drawing/dredging. If you're about to draw Gaea's Blessing a few solutions.

  1. Hope you're generating a lot of mana or at least have some mana open. You drew blessings, so discard it through one of your outlets. Keep dredging and hope you draw Elixir of Immortality, Primal Command, or Loaming Shaman. Cast and shuffle blessing and whatever back in. Make sure you dredge stuff is still available.
  2. Did you generate a lot of mana and the other shuffle back in effects are sitting in the graveyard? Okay, let's just cast an Exsanguinate, Profane Command (only kills one), or Death Cloud for a lot.
  3. Death cloud, Profane Command, and Exsanguinate in your yard? Poop. Still have a lot of mana and a Dakmor Salvage in hand? Yay! Is Syphon Life in your yard? Life is awesome. Use that abundance of mana to retrace that shit until everyone dies or you run out of mana.
  4. You didn't generate a lot of mana? Did you use Wild Mongrel or your ooze posing as a mongrel? That ooze/mongrel should be pretty big. Sac it to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord or use a Rogue's Passage to make it unblockable.

That's most if not all my win cons.

Important note: if you're relying on Necrotic Ooze to be your discard outlet to generate a lot of mana, make sure you have another outlet on the field when you shuffle you graveyard into your library.

As for now, I'm on a budget, so if you make suggestions, if the card is more than $5, I'm much less likely to get it.

"But Stacey!" I hear you cry, "[Card Name] is more than $5 and currently in your decklist." A few explanations for that:

  1. I already owned that card.
  2. I saved to get that card.
  3. Shut up.

So budget please!
