This deck was inspired by the 'Batting Avarice' deck by Mark Gottlieb back in 2004.

It's based off of Enron's business model: Steal everyone's crap, then fizzle out in a blaze of glory!

I liked the idea of being so adaptable to turn any game into a mirror-match.

The deck usually results in groans from the other players, especially when I have a chance to swipe a Privileged Position.

The toolbox effect I've got goin' on with the artifacts is incredibly fun. Shutting someone down with a well-timed Pithing Needle earns a lot of kudos from the rest of the board. Meekstone tends to earn the hate, however, and generally only gets played when someone decides to get smart and play Progenitus or some huge beefy unstoppable thing that I can't nab with Avarice Totem/Tel-Jilad Stylus.

Recursion gets hosed by Tormod's Crypt, which I can always recycle into my deck if needed. I can ping away with Cursed Scroll (how hard is it to play a ton of 1 drops and get down to 1 or 2 cards in hand?!). Zuran Orb keeps me happily in the game if I happen to draw the threat.

I'm in love, however, with M11's Elixir of Immortality. FANTASTIC card. Makes this whole thing a heck of a lot more obnoxious.

All in all, very fun politics deck. Because everyone will bargain to keep their Soul Warden, and nobody wants to get robbed blind.

If you like this deck, take a look at Grand Theft Andrew!
