This deck was built for my girlfriend and focuses on her favorite colors, while staying on a budget. The deck tries to be straightforward and since her colors lack good reactive interaction(blue is proactive and harder to anticipate since she is newer), I decided to go "low to the ground" on the curve. Without much interaction, clogging up the ground doesn't help. The previous build tried to use Nature's Way to fight through the ground, but it wasn't good enough, so Aether Meltdown replaced it. When you are flying over or trampling through, the downside of leaving a blocker is not as bad as it is normally, plus you get some energy! Cartouche of Knowledge has yet to see any meaningful standard play, but I think it is an aura that is just outside of playable in some decks. Although you can get blown out when you target your creature, it replaces itself any time it lands. The goal of the deck is to keep energy coming in for Longtusk Cub and Bristling Hydra to get huge and have them fly over or to trample in from Rhonas the Indomitable. If you have good attacks with your big cub or hydra, it is often times best to place the Cartouche on a Rogue Refiner or a Greenbelt Rampager, or even your worst creature to provide multiple threats. The game does end fairly quick with this deck though! We have not made it to FNM to test yet, but thanks for checking it out!
