Now, just control, beat down, and a little bit of combo...

This was Malfegor "nothing but spot creature removal" and Kira "only counters your spells because I am mad about last game".

To get an idea of your losing situation, here's one turn in this game:

1) Victim of Night --> Mother of Runes

2) Endbringer (one for player), both at gaddock teeg (with flickering ward), each player, paying to blow him up

3) Cyclonic Rift --> Suppression Field (out of order, but sure why not)

4) Slaughter Pact --> Mother of Runes

5) Tectonic Edge --> Savannah (after I literally chose not to blow up his Scorched Ruin, which he plays for some reason)

At this point, it's time to just play another deck, maybe play Sigarda, Heron's Grace instead. She's powerful, can supply backup to some key humans, and doesn't instantly bring the hatefuck down upon you.

Btw, I won the above game, but only because I got lucky, and only because they both misplayed. I managed to get Rector to die to a block, searching Earthcraft, dropped Grand Abolisher (which they couldn't immediately blow up with Endbringers), and then dropped Squirrel Nest ... hurray, my anti-combo deck won with one of the lamest combos in MTG history.

It kindof dawned on me that "only allows spot removal" and "voltron" were a bit mutually exclusive. So the deck is more a general goodstuff beat down deck with just a little bit of combo thrown in. I welcome ideas about how to take this further and refine this idea.
