Sorcery (2)

Enchantment (1)

This deck was created from the soul of a dead Volatile Rig . It introduces chaos alongside group hug and slug effects. If you're alive at the end of the game, you will probably have big nasties to swing with, or some X cost direct burn spells. This build also allows for a fair amount of spot removal with the various burn effects it contains. The two commanders complement each other very well and make for a great political play style. The goal with this build is to basically play a red chaos hug N slug deck, but mono-red isn't good enough for me, so I've introduced that most powerful of colors, BLUE!

I've designed this to be political in nature, in that I can help or hurt whoever needs it. In the early game, Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist draws favor by supplying my opponents with cards in exchange for beating the crap out of each other and not me. This basically lets me deal early damage to players without actually being the one doing the damage dealing. Later in the game, Kraum, Ludevic's Opus lets me draw lots of cards as my opponents have the cards and mana to play 2 spells per turn. Having flying and haste is icing on the flying zombie cake.
You want to play mostly red, but have an addiction to drawing cards.
You want to mess with the board state and create memorable moments.
You don't really care about winning or losing.
You want to cast big nutty red spells and deal lots of burn type damage.
You need a clear path to victory.
You wouldn't give someone a way to draw more cards if you were the last wizard on earth.
You don't want any of your creatures to die in the infernos you create.
You shudder at the word random and spells of chance.
I'm going to go over some of the interesting stuff in the deck, however I haven't had a lot of time actually playing it, so it's going to be brief. Keep in mind there is no real plan with this deck. Just create chaos and try to stay alive. It's easier than you think.
The heart of this deck is the overall chaos it brings to the table. It's why I built it. There are varying degrees of insanity, and surprisingly only a few cards dedicated to pure chaos. That may change over time.

Noggle Ransacker is a little hug and a little chaos. If you have any spell you simply must cast, wait to play the ransacker. This little guy has a habit of making players lose their best cards as the discard part of the ability is RANDOM.

Bearer of the Heavens will make everyone nervous as he holds up the multiverse. If he comes crashing down, he's gonna drop everything on the battlefield and the game basically starts over.

Whims of the Fates will get the hearts pumping as players decide whether to make three even piles, leave everything in one pile and hope for the best, or something in between. So far I've seen a few people lose everything to the fates.
You never know what or who is going to be burned to the ground in this game. The spells here reflect my desire to create an unusual set of circumstances that aren't normally found in a game of EDH.

Sulfuric Vortex shuts down life gain strategies, which is great cause if someone is regularly gaining life, that will probably be part of their win-con. Everyone burns a little each turn, bringing them closer to outright burn range. By sharing in this pain with my opponents, it will most likely be targeted for removal only by the life gain players.

Price of Glory is another great enchantment that messes with the normal dynamics of the game. Suddenly off turn combat tricks and "end of turn" plays become extremely painful. Again, all players are effected which somewhat limits the desire of other players to destroy it.

Wild Evocation: What's better than getting to cast free spells?! Well, how about if you don't get to decide which spell it is you cast. Still sound like fun? Sounds like chaos to me. Who knows what will happen with this on the field.

Zo-Zu the Punisher is pretty straight forward in that he makes every land a shock land. Except in this case, you get shocked upon the land entering. It's worth noting the wording on Zo-Zu says it triggers when the land enters the battlefield (and not when you play a land), which means that cards like Explosive Vegetation can't get around the damage.
Here we have some huggy spells. Some of these hugs hurt. Like being hugged by a porcupine.

Death by Dragons : Is there someone in the game you and everyone else wants dead? Help the greater cause and give them all dragons, then gang up! Just hope they don't turn on you with them.

Minds Aglow: Don't we all love to draw cards? Let everyone else at the table help you draw tons of cards. You'll be sure to burn anything they play into a pile of ashes.

Intellectual Offering is great if you need to play a little politics with only one player. Maybe they can get rid of a card that you want gone, but can't deal with. Maybe you want to be sure someone doesn't swing at you for a turn or two. Have them do the deed, then reward them with cards.

Vision Skeins : Pure and simple. Two cards each.

Arcane Melee: Cheapen everyone's instant and sorcery spells. Especially yours. Cause they are EXPENSIVE.

Rite of the Raging Storm: Give everyone 5 power to swing with. They can't let it hang around though, so they'll be sure to swing with it. They can't swing at you though, so just sit back and watch the fun.

Standstill: Everyone SLOW DOWN! Who will be the one to lose out on the cards? Only time will tell. Everyone else will be your friend.
It is here we find the true fury of the deck.

Alpha Brawl : Who's that player over there with the massive field? Choose the biggest creature they, have and watch it all burn!

Balefire Dragon: This son of a firestorm brings the pain as he torches entire battlefields when he hits.

Blasphemous Act: You'll probably be dealing 13 damage to each creature for 1 red mana. Follow that up with whatever your heart desires.

Devastating Dreams : A little land destruction never hurt anyone. Damage to creatures might kill though.

Meteor Blast : Wipe out whole armies of utility creatures with this, or just burn peoples faces off. Your choice.

Volcanic Vision: Grab that Alpha Brawl back from your grave, and choose the opponent with the biggest field and watch it burn!

Fanatic of Mogis: This guy's pretty simple. He comes in with a 5 gallon bucket of PAIN!

Heartless Hidetsugu: Slash everyone's life total, then torch them!

Stormbreath Dragon: Flying, Haste, built in protection, with a firey ability. Mmm Mmm!

Anger of the Gods/Sweltering Suns: Now that your field is full of big bodies, or in the early game feel free to send out a little fire wave. Fear not, as most of your creatures have at least 4 toughness. These two have been doing a LOT of work for me.They devastate anyone playing lots small utility creatures. Especially brutal against Momir Vig, Simic Visionary decks.

Comet Storm: Let it rain rocks of fire as you burn anything and anyone, so long as you have enough mana.

Inferno : Instead speed INFERNO! Can't go wrong with a giant wall of fire.

Starstorm: Burn down the lot of them with this instant speed gem.
