The Dragon Crisis

Legacy Mono-Red

Sideboard

This deck started as an idea I thought would be fun, and it turned out to be one of my first "really good" decks to use in casuals. The general idea is to get big dragons out as quick as possible, and make them even more buff, to overwhelm opponents. This deck is run by the powerful dragon cards that make up the bulk of the creatures, like Balefire Dragon, Thunderbreak Regent, and Spawn of Thraxes. It's balanced out with smaller dragons like Furnace Whelp, Archwing Dragon and Dragon Egg. Both Dragonspeaker Shaman and Geosurge help get the buff ones out quicker. Crucible of Fire buffs all the dragons and I can take advantage of each creature's strength with Tail Slash, and Burning Anger. Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker helps keep the deck moving and also aids in the fight, and Staff of the Mind Magus is there to help the deck stay alive if pressured. Feedback is appreciated, I plan to use this deck as a modern format, however I noticed Dragonspeaker Shaman isn't modern legal, so I'm wondering if there's some alternatives out there or something to serve this purpose, or maybe to do something even better.
