Sideboard

“You and your ship will make a fine addition to my fleet.”

This is the first deck I have ever built for Magic the Gathering. It all started with the Angrath planeswalker deck from Rivals of Ixalan. Since I started back in April of 2018, I have made major improvements, added a color, and more.

The deck plays an aggressive strategy, attempting to pile up damage as quickly as possible, while maintaining a backup midrange strategy to assist in longer games that are dominated by control and midrange.

Ideal curve: Turn 1: Daring Buccaneer or any tapped land Turn 2: Dire Fleet Captain Turn 3: Captain Lannery Storm Turn 4: Dire Fleet Neckbreaker Turn 5: Do you need to cast anything? You've already won by this point.

As of now, this deck has won a total of 3 FNMs, and I hope to one day win a Grand Prix with it.

Here is my list as it currently stands. I don't think that there will be more Pirates printed anytime soon. Anyway, enjoy my rendition of Grixis Pirates for Pioneer!
