Psh play life gain when ETB that gains more life than the CMC and dump your deck.

DrkNinja With Aetherflux Reservoir , it actually works fine because you start going net positive in life. Same basis as mono-black storm decks pre citadel, just with less lands because we want to be more spell focused, and less Ad Nauseam focused. Also, the cmc of that deck is really low, hovering at ~1.5. So it's actually not that bad.

Could've just done some research though, it will probably be better in a mono-black/dimir shell, neither of which has white for Angel's Grace .

I think it's best in Esper colors in a control shell

I'm looking to add it to My Yidris for sure. My only trouble is finding what to cut without sacrificing too much of his current speed because he is pretty low to the ground. Do you think it’s good enough to replace Ad Naus entirely? Or would having both be the safer strategy?

Oh and check it out if you get the chance. Any input on how to make him better would be much appreciated.

Massacre girl is a terrible name but a fantastic card in a token deck.

IAmTheWraith Samut's ability gives Haste until end of turn so that if you kill her with the ability, the creature still gets Haste until end of turn. Same thing with the wording of the new Jace's ult, if you killed him with the -8 and he didn't have the 'win the game' clause again, you would lose the game after being forced to draw out, because he's no longer on the field as the ability resolves and you draw.

Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, proliferate.

What Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck should I invest to rebuild? +1/+1 counters or superfriends?

Tend to play the counters deck more as its a less combo based spike deck for me to play at softer tables. Thoughts?

IAmTheWraith I sold my Atraxa to my buddy for $10 because he said he wanted to build Atraxa charge counters and I'm all for it.

This set has a bunch of great cards (in its so far previewed first 1/3) and many of the best ones aren't even rare! And a bunch of the best ones were shown today and yesterday too!

Neoform makes me so happy. Like truly. I'm excited to play it in standard on arena, and also I'm excited to put it in like 7 edh decks. Especially since it's an uncommon it will even be cheap!! Vannifar decks will finally be a thing!! So stoked for this card.

The amount of cards with proliferate in the game has literally exploded. The mechanic is used in so many edh decks, it should have a noticeable impact everywhere. At least a few will be good enough for edh...three previwed so far have triggers that can happen repeatedly, a couple more are ETBs, its just gonna be great. And so far the best ones are all uncommon or common!

The proliferate legend is ok, they missed by making it a death trigger instead of leaving the battlefield or something. It's still possibly good enough for standard though.

Massacre girl is easily the hottest girl in the set so far. Great card too, maybe even better than Massacre Wurm .

IAmTheWraith Atraxa really excels at both angles, you don't necessarily have to completely exclude either strategy. Lots of PWs make +1/+1 counters and Primal Vigor and Doubling Season will combo with everything too. I would dip into both a bit for a more interesting play experience.

I guess Primal Vigor doesn't help PWs really, so scratch that.

@IAmTheWraith Honestly as the guy with the superfriends deck, I contemplated moving to Atraxa from jodah, but leaving red out so that I can't play Bolas, especially new bolas, and chandras... That was just not ok.

I think there are better +1/+1 counter commanders out there but it would still be a great deck.

Lastly I really do like the Charge Counter Atraxa best... I mean I think be unique and play charge counters with weird janky wincons but is a serious contender. The Trinisphere just did an article on janky Atraxa builds you should check it out here

@Rzepkanut BRO! This set is dope, I'm loving all the cards for all my edh decks, but I'm pissed off because i haven't gotten my GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING UGIN YET!!!! Sorry about that... Anyways, yea I'm looking forward to this set probably gonna buy a couple of boxes honestly

@DrkNinja so rather than give me meaningful advise you would rather just tell me why both of the decks are obsolete. I wasn't asking if I should make them new colors/commanders, all I asked was which I should rebuild.

I'm sorry if I came off as an ass, I didn't think I said anything that warranted me being an ass, but if I did it was not my intention.

I was simply suggesting an alternative that maybe you hadn't thought of, the charge counter atraxa seems like more fun to me personally. I also think that if you wanted to do +1/+1 counters you could find a commander that's more suited for it. And lastly I just think not having red in a Superfriends deck leaves you without some really fun cards, and EVERYONE plays Atraxa walkers.

Realistically I think superfriends Atraxa is the better build because it seems to be more potent than a +1/+1 counter build. If you want to be a degenerate, then infect might be gross and fun. Not sure how viable it is so it could be some jank but I'm not sure.
