The first sunday afternoon Pauper event went well, 10 players showed up and two of the deck's were rented. I played Budget Black Control to showcase an additional deck.
Im not familiar with the pilot that rented this deck since they're relatively new to the store. I might have to test it out myself one day for a true measure of it's capability. It had an unfortunate round one against Izzet Blitz (0-2) which had turn 4 kills in both games. Round 2 saw hard control against an interesting Grixis build (0-2). The last round was against Suicide Black and both decks were 0-4 up until this point. I was told it was an interesting game which saw the deck win (2-1), handing Suicide Black the "Raspberry Award".
The winner of the event was Stompy going 3-0. Delver came in second with a 3-0 run, but it's last win was against Izzet Blitz that was 1-1 at the time due to an uneven tourney pool of 10 players.
