Pulled out the Grand Architect, because they weren't really helping with the over all strategy of the deck, and added in two more Black Sun's Zenith and two Liliana of the Veil.

if i'm not mistaken, deathtouch reads "any amount of damage dealt by a creature with deathtouch is considered lethal". or something like that. so i don't think deathtouch and trample works like that /:

Actually, according to wizards in depth explanation of the interaction between trample and deathtouch, that's exactly how it works. Because once a deathtouching creature deals one damage, it's lethal.

They actually go into the specific details between the two abilities, and they specifically say "if a deathtouch creature with trample gets blocked, you can have it deal 1 single damage to each creature blocking it, then the rest to the controlling player."

If you get blightsteel out on the board he is pretty much going to win. Even if they block it's a losing battle for most any deck. You also are not using enough artifact generating cards nor enough blue creatures to pay with Grand Architect.

Think you will have a hard time getting him out and without him the deck doesn't do much of anything. The biggest advantage to the shawning deck is the ability to completely remove shape anew and colossus and make the deck still able to win the game.

+1 for admitting it to be a turbo colossus. Lol I have a lot of hate and not enough love for this deck style and I several dislike those that call it otherwise.

infect and Deathtouch do NOT work together because your not dealing damage. your instead dealing -1's. Or so I have been told.

"deals damage in -1/-1 counters". it's still dealing damage. its just instead of burn, it's wither. still works. DCI judge said so at least :P goddamn Plague Stinger nuked my Dungrove Elder with a Strata Scythe .

thusly, you can swing with a Blighted Agent and when it connects play a Stormblood Berserker with the bloodthirst triggered. im not sure why you would want to. but you could :P

So you still take the 1 damage and the poison?

what? it's damage, its just damage from a creature with infect. i'm not sure what youre asking, but it does damage that doesn't detract from your life total and instead adds a poison counter. it's still technically damage.

See nobody explained infect to me correctly and i just went with what other people said. I just didn't read into it because I thought it was just a broken version of wither. djgunn I apologize for clogging your comment board. Lol

No worries Jokernaught. If you learned something, then I feel like my comment thread is doing it's job :)

In all honesty I feel a little cheated though. There is quite a number of games that I would have one casually had I know that. On the Blightsteel Colossus with Turn to Frog : How does it graveyard? I had trouble trying to explain that his turbo colossus strategy could be shut down with a simple Frog/Blade combo. He runs a deck similar to this except its Modern and is also eldrazi with Quicksilver Amulet with green where the blue should be.

If you turn to frog it and kill it then it will go to the GY because it lost all its abilities. The problem is not many people run turn to frog mainboard. The second part is to be successful on this your sideboard has to be able to make the deck play just as well without the colossus.

Well its modern/casual play. So it wouldn't be that hard to make a deck. Anyone know where I can find an official Article on this? To print off and hand out copies? The Frog/Colossus rule.
