It's harvest time.

As soon as I saw the Secret Lair Reaper King I knew I had to get one. I wanted to make a Commander deck with him, but one that doesn't 100% rely on him. This is my first draft of such a deck- kind of a part-artifact goodstuff, part-scarecrow tribal, part-combo deck.



Let's be real here: Reaper King draws a huge target on you; Thus why I want a deck that can win without him.

That being said, Reaper King is still a huge part of this deck. Most scarecrows kind of suck if you didn't notice, but tacking on a vindicate with each one is pretty good. So we need to make sure Reaper King hits the board and sticks. Cavern of Souls does the job best, being that lands are easy to get out and relatively hard to remove. Secondarily Rhythm of the Wild works on all my creatures, while buffing or hasting them.

Once the King comes out to play, we want to make sure it stays that way. As far as protection goes, Lightning Greaves gives us Shroud, while Padeem, Consul of Innovation provides Hexproof and is likely to draw us cards (especially with Reaper King out, since his CMC is 10).
