True ConvictionMTG Card: True Conviction is a bit expensive to play, especially with only 20 land. I'd drop it and go +1 Curse of Stalked PreyMTG Card: Curse of Stalked Prey and +1 creature removal or Surgical ExtractionMTG Card: Surgical Extraction or even 1 more land.

Cool deck, +1.

Mizoreisnear says... #2

yea thanks for the comment i like the true convition because i dont intend to have my oppent last more then 8 turns so if the seem to be surviving then droping that truconviction and gaining the life as well as dealing double damage is great plus with the curse of stalked pre if i have the double strike then i get 1 counter for the first strike gaining 1 extra damage on strike 2 plus if i have curse of bloodletting as well then that is triple or quad damage its just a great finisher thats all but yea appreciate the comment

silenced says... #4

I'd think that and the effects will help your deck in many ways because they will either boost you vampires, be flying or get you the life gain for survival because it is needed.

January 27, 2012 12:59 a.m.

silenced says... #5

+1 from me because once it starts the only way to control the horde of vampires is limited to Day of JudgmentMTG Card: Day of Judgment and Life's FinaleMTG Card: Life's Finale

I really like it! The only change I would recommend would be to drop the True ConvictionMTG Card: True Convictions and put in 2 Phyrexian MetamorphMTG Card: Phyrexian Metamorphs to copy your lords.

+1 from me

if you're still looking for that sweet, sweet double strike, I'd look into Assault StrobeMTG Card: Assault Strobe. I run it in my Ru grow deck. you may also notice the Volt ChargeMTG Card: Volt Charge.

January 31, 2012 7:49 p.m.

Mizoreisnear says... #15

i had voltcharge but i decided against it because it is only 3 damage and a perliferate while i could play a erdwal ripper and hit for 2 with a plus 1 plus 1 counter anyways but yea that assualt strobe looks sweet

crixalis says... #23

I hate Markov BlademasterMTG Card: Markov Blademaster even whith its doublestrike is way too expensive, I would consider removing all of them and adding removals

February 4, 2012 5:07 p.m.

theonyc says... #24

i think he is expensive but he is still worth it, especially with ) just to say, today i realized that it is stromkirk not stormkirk, i always thought it was storm

Trakanon says... #25

Did my comment about lands get deleted? I was asking if anyone else was having problems with lands coming out tapped, given that there are so many non-basics.

February 4, 2012 9:30 p.m.

UniTheDino says... #26

@Trakanon: I agree. 1x Isolated ChapelMTG Card: Isolated Chapel and 2x Clifftop RetreatMTG Card: Clifftop Retreat should be dropped for 3x basic land.

Also, Mimic VatMTG Card: Mimic Vat doesn't really play well with this set-up since the token won't be able to build up for huge damage. That could probably be dropped for another 2x basic land.

February 4, 2012 10:26 p.m.

Mizoreisnear says... #27

hmm yea i will try to take all of this under carefull consideration

giant's are beasts, in magic and in football

February 5, 2012 10:30 p.m.

theonyc says... #31

now on the serious side, why is everyone so abscessed with Faith's ShieldMTG Card: Faith's Shield, just make a choice and get on with it, and does anyone see a point to the land where you pay five (3, 1r, 1b) to deal 2 damage to a player, sorry that I'm blanking on the name. i also agree that having two many m12/instrad duel lands aren't good without basic lands to back them up

February 5, 2012 10:34 p.m.

Trakanon says... #32

theonyc: you are thinking of Stensia BloodhallMTG Card: Stensia Bloodhall. I put a single in my vamp deck, though it's only BR. I probably would not put it in a deck like this because land is already a problem. It's just a late game ping for 2 that you can do at the end of their turn if you ended up not having to cast the instants you left the mana open for.

February 5, 2012 10:42 p.m.

theonyc says... #33

i still don't think its worth it, but i guess you could if you really need to and yes that's the card

I can't see what you would play Erdwal RipperMTG Card: Erdwal Ripper over the Markov BlademasterMTG Card: Markov Blademaster. If the Bladmaster hits 3 times, its game over! They cost the same. I would also play Tribute to HungerMTG Card: Tribute to Hunger over Geth's VerdictMTG Card: Geth's Verdict. A little life gain is great. Have you though about Markov WarlordMTG Card: Markov Warlord? It's a great finisher. You have no 2 drop. I would play Altar's ReapMTG Card: Altar's Reap to move the deck along when it stalls.

February 7, 2012 12:43 a.m.

crixalis says... #37

The great thing about Erdwal RipperMTG Card: Erdwal Ripper is that it has haste, this means that you may cast it, have it resolved and hit, all at once. While with Markov BlademasterMTG Card: Markov Blademaster you cast it, wait for it to resolve, wait for it to survive your opponent's turn, and finally pray for it to hit your opponent. I wouldn't be so optimistic. Just to be clear, while the blademaster has a better effect and grows a lot faster than the ripper, the ripper is way more flexible, and when I tested them I discovered that in the end, the ripper grows better than the blademaster

Obliterator117 Undying EvilMTG Card: Undying Evil is a pretty sweet spell for very little mana, but I think in terms of protecting potentially vulnerable permanents like Sorin, the Faith's ShieldMTG Card: Faith's Shield is a solid choice, imo

+1 from me duders...

I would recomend playing 2-4 copies of revoke existence main. The main reason isSword of War and PeaceMTG Card: Sword of War and Peace and Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan gets it back. Plus, more options for heartless decks and the other bomb enchanty chants...

Good luck at FNM!

I'd try Death Cloud. You have a super strong deck here. I play tested against my The Renaissance. Three games. The first I was bled out by 2 Nocturnes. I wanted to sideboard in but yours I guess is still in production. I sided in Wrath of God for the 2nd and 3rd games. Everything about this vamp deck is great. But there's a hole if your creatures are wiped. Have you tried Raven's Crime? It's a cheap hand killer. I held the Wraths till I needed them. If you had some kind of Black Control it would most likely work to your benefit. I think I'd drop Murder for some kind of hand interruption. And I'd drop Underworld Connections for a reset button like Death Cloud. Your vamps are fast enough to recoup with emphasis. All due respect, Mizoreisnear, I truly am envious at this build. It's affordable and stronger than a lot of those $1000 decks.

May 12, 2016 9:57 p.m.

This is the best vampire build I've seen so far. Great work. Thank you for running play sets. The only thing you can really do to improve this deck is to take out some basic lands for some fetches like Bloodstained Mire.

Hey may I suggest Terminates instead of murder. It's a 2 drop 1 black 1 red destroy target creature it can't be regenerated.
