First pass on an All In strategy with Jodah, Archmage Eternal. I own too many terrible, overcosted cards and would like to have some excuse to play them, and Jodah brings out the simplest plan imaginable: pay 5 mana for anything, forever. Obviously not the most competitive deck, as I'm specifically targeting the 7+ cmc cards that just never see play, but it may steal a win here or there with my meta anyway.

Note that almost all of the ramp spells are super cheap. While it's possible to get a crazy fast start of Burgeoning, 5 lands, and massive threat in the opening hand, it is extremely unlikely. More likely I'll try to mulligan into a turn 2 ramp spell so I can drop Jodah turn 3 and then a big threat on turn 4. I suspect that this line will also pesudo-protects Jodah, as the table may be too distracted by turn 3 giant scary monster into turn four big flashy sorcery to deal with the tiny mage in charge. At least for the first couple games. After that I'm hoping I'll learn what works and what doesn't and mix up the cmc a bit.

One major concern is what to do with leftover mana. This deck will regularly have 1-4 mana left to spend, but unable to spend it. That wasted mana is basically the same as having used it for the spell, making the deck a lot less powerful. I'm considering putting in a few more mana sinks (think Sisters of Stone Death or Zacama, Primal Calamity) so get full value from the left over mana, but there are actually very few mana skins attached to large cmc spells. Once I pilot the deck more, I'll probably figure out which cards just aren't worth even 5 mana and swap out for a few lower cmc mana sinks.
