This is an experimental deck that I hope will someday be more viable: Toughness Matters in Pauper. From Modern Horizons and Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, Pauper got two cards that allow creatures to assign combat damage equal to their toughness rather than their power: Treefolk Umbra and Solid Footing. Slap these on cheap creatures like Maned Serval, Lagonna-Band Trailblazer, Aegis Turtle, or Phyrexian Walker, and you suddenly have big beaters.

Green and White are the minimum color pairs. Blue is a very close third, while Black and Red are not totally useless, but distant 4th and 5th options regardless.

Joven's Ferrets, a card from Homelands, is a cheap creature that can hit for 5 damage when attached with an Umbra, and either discourage blocking or mess up your opponent's board state.

Maned Serval and Solid Footing came from the same set, and wouldn't you know, they go quite well together.

Hovermyr so you have an evasive threat you can cast for any , and you don't get wrecked by flying.

Lagonna-Band Trailblazer and Karametra's Blessing, two excellent cards for Mono-White Heroic, are solid options here, too.

Warbriar Blessing isn't super-powered in this deck because fight always uses power, but it can ideally get rid of small, aggressive threats when you need to.

Native Hexproof would be nice, but the current crop of big butts with Hexproof in Pauper cost 5 CMC or more. Elgaud Shieldmate might be tempting, though.
