This week I played this list with Strangleroot Geist replacing Loxodon Smiter seeing as i don't have them.
Round one: 2-0 Izzet Aggro I can only assume it was aggro because I never saw any instants and he kept laying chump blockers... which meant nothing to my Rancors
Round two; 2-1 Mono White Weenie Lost the first game despite getting her to 1 life haha. Brought in removal and Sigarda, Host of Herons and that was that.
Round three; 2-0 Izzet Control Bonfires are annoying but I was still able to overwhelm him and once again Sigarda was an MVP here.

Also I took your advice on the rancors and o-rings, artic wind and then changed up the removal in the sideboard

Fiend Hunter would alsop help with early game controlling, and although he can only target creatures he makes a great defender (dat 1/3) while you ramp! He can also be handy late game to remove threats to your big creatures (death-touchers, big defenders, other big creatures, etc.).

Playing a similar deck. I'd recommend mainboarding, but at the very least sideboarding, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , and maybe replace those SB Garruks with Triumph of Ferocity . It's a more constant and consistent card advantage. Love the deck, though.

So I threw in the 4 Loxodon Smiter s. Hopefully they will help me keep up the pressure during the late game.
