A very fun, very spicy rendition of God-Pharaoh's Gift Panharmonicon.
My inspiration comes from the MTGO 5-0 Gate to the Afterlife and God-Pharaoh's Gift deck as well as SaffronOlive's GG Panharmonicon deck.
Gate to the Afterlife forces people to play with a bunch of silly one drops that aren't that great, and the card itself is clunky on turn 3 - a vital turn in this meta. I feel like that deck is trying to be too aggro. My deck's objective is to flood the board while gaining life and drawing cards - instead of forcing out GG early - while stabilizing to flip a Westvale Abbey
or to eventually bring back seemingly endless amounts of 4/4 flyers with haste. Another problem with Gate to the Afterlife is the creatures come back as 4/4s on the ground that can be chumped. SaffronOlive's deck didn't have enough hits for Glint-Nest Crane or any way to reshuffle it's misses, nor did it have Angel of Invention.
I decided to deliciously meld the two decks together, adding Angel of Invention to the Panharmonicon build along with very necessary spot removal, and a boardwipe/hand refiller if needed in Dusk / Dawn.
First off - my main concern with the deck was not having enough artifacts for the Glint-Nest Crane to hit, and also I wanted to find a way to reshuffle my library when the Crane puts good cards on the bottom of my deck. Enter Renegade Map (gets you a land for free and shuffles the deck), Filigree Familiar, God-Pharaoh's Gift, Walking Ballista, Pilgrim's Eye (an unexpected all star), Aethersphere Harvester, and Panharmonicon. 15 targets for the bird.
Secondly, I was concerned about the super aggro meta. This deck gains insane amounts of life with Filigree Familiar, Cloudblazer, and Angel of Invention.
This deck will out draw any other deck in the current meta, besides maybe
New Perspectives
but who counts that?
Most people are familiar with builds that do not include Panharmonicon. Players usually use their artifact hate on it not knowing God-Pharaoh's Gift will be landing soon.
Surely everyone has seen God-Pharaoh's Gift and Panharmonicon in action - this build just sends it way over the top using Angel of Invention or any of our other dudes with all their glorious ETB triggers! Play with it and do enjoy :).
