Out of the frozen kingdom of Kjeldor Emerges it's ruler, Darien, King of Kjeldor This deck spits in the face of conventional wisdom. You want to take as much damage as you can. Literally, just let opponents swing for the fences, as long as the total damage isn't more than your life total. Once you have a life gaining component, and your commander, you'll gain it right back. With several sources; Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, Auriok Champion, Suture Priest, Anointer Priest, Healer of the Pride + Angelic Chorus these are the biggest components to get out. with even just one of these out with your commander is either a net zero life loss. Or a life gain with Healer of the Pride, or the Angelic Chorus plus one of any number of anthem effects in the deck. Speaking of which there are a ton of anthems in the deck, some are conditional Daru Warchief, Auriok Steelshaper, Captain of the Watch, Field Marshal but the other dozen or so are complete army buffs. The other major component is a Jade Monolith for this card will pull all the damage done to any creature controlled by any player, and redirect that damage to you. This can be used diplomatically to save creatures that an opponent controls that may still be beneficial to you, or for any reason. Overall it will also be a means of pacifying any opponent since they will only be able to hit opponents with damage that you can't redirect back to yourself. Even when your opponents stop attacking when they see it's futile, you have the availability to keep generating soldiers by using the pain lands in here. Ancient Tomb, City of Brass, Grand Coliseum, Tarnished Citadel, Nomad Stadium. Token combat is going to be the primary win condition, but with the absurd amount of life gain in the deck Aetherflux Reservoir has a real time to shine as a game finisher.

The best synergy is going to be with the Ashnod's Altar + Dingus Staff + Darien, King of Kjeldor + Soul Warden or any other ETB life gainer on your battlefield. It results in infinite life, infinite creature tokens, and infinite mana. Which can be used in a few of the mana sinks Mobilization + Decree of Justice. The Knight-Captain of Eos is in there pretty much exclusively to shut down the possibility of Infect or another infinitely powered creature your opponents control. Otherwise there is no reason to ever holy day your soldiers away unless you've yet to get one of the ETB life gain enablers in play yet. Also to shut down any of your opponents targeted creature removal a classic combo of Leonin Shikari + Lightning Greaves stops it cold. There aren't a lot of board wipes since I'm trying to go wide with tokens, new from Amonkhet Anointed Procession is a perfect addition to the deck. So I do have a few protections built in to keep the army safe Make a Stand + Rootborn Defenses + Brave the Elements with just a lone Mass Calcify but if you get the engine going and can generate a ton of soldiers don't hesitate to control the board state by using the Catapult Master to pinpoint exile creatures to your heart's content.

The biggest problem with this deck is keeping track of how many soldiers you're generating, and how much life you'll be gaining.
