This deck is one of my favourite brews from a few years ago. It's a kind of flying-tribal deck build around Pride of the Clouds , which is a card I just generally love. This deck is not meant to be particularly competitive, but it is still capable of winning games and looking great doing it!
About the Deck
This deck plays a tempo game that will feel a lot like the classic Blue-White flyers draft deck: play creatures with flying and attack in the air, while using your removal sparingly to take out the few creatures that can block you. Your interaction also lets you win races and protect the creatures on your board.
Bonus
Part of what I love about this deck is that it gets to show off my favorite MTG artist, Rebecca Guay. You can see her art on Pride of the Clouds and Bitterblossom in this deck, so I thought I might give her a bit of a shout out here. She has a really interesting style among Magic artists, and has illustrated a lot of cool cards:

- Pride of the Clouds - this is the centerpiece of the deck. With the rest of the cards in this list, it can get truly massive.
- Lingering Souls and Bitterblossom - these are some of the best ways to make flying creatures ever printed. They give you tons of value and are great ways to apply pressure to opponents who are trying to use spot removal or Liliana of the Veil.
- Spell Queller - this is a new addition from Eldritch Moon. It's another flying creature with great stats and adds a really powerful interactive angle to the deck. Note that having a Favorable Winds in play takes it out of Lightning Bolt range.
- Selfless Spirit - I'm trying these as ways to protect Pride of the Clouds and Spell Queller while adding to the air force. They also work well against sweepers like Anger of the Gods, Damnation or Supreme Verdict, which is nice for a deck like this.
- Vendilion Clique - these are aggressive flying threats that work well with the core of the deck, but also help to disrupt combo decks like Ad Nauseam and RG Through the Breach.
- Favorable Winds - this is basically a two-mana Glorious Anthem in this deck, and it's insane with Bitterblossom and Lingering Souls.
- Remand, Spell Pierce and Spell Snare - ironically, this deck runs quite low to the ground, so interaction has to be cheap to not mess with your curve. Remand is great in a deck that looks to pressure the opponent's life total quickly, and works really well when you're running Bitterblossom.
- Path to Exile and Dismember - cheap removal is something you need to have in Modern.
- Sorin, Solemn Visitor - one +1 from Sorin is great with a go-wide strategy and can swing a race in your favor, and he also happens to make flying creatures when you need him to.
