MONO BLUE AGGRO deck because Talrand is overplayed and Azami is too linear.

A quick rundown of the deck..

1. You get an Island! You get and Island! Yes, even You! You'll get an Island too!

To best utilize our commander, everyone needs islands. In case you're playing against a table of mardu, abzan and other non-blue decks, we have a few helpful cards like Quicksilver Fountain , Spreading Seas and Aquitect's Will (the latter two even cantrip!) Bonus tip: Play these on lands that your opponents desperately need the colors from, you can very easily mana-screw your opponents out of a color if you pick the right land.

2. Look at this stuff. Isn't it neat?

It's just so great to cast Thada, and either take our opponents rampy artifacts to get us further in the game, grab some good artifact creatures or just exile all their combo-artifacts.

(Btw, everyone will think your stuff is neat, since it's well, ya know, their stuff)

3. Control and build up a boardstate.

So, at this point you probably have some nice card advantage (being in mono-blue and all) and you've ramped considerably. Start bringing the hate: Multi-colored decks got you down? Back to Basics , pesky spells? Counterspell , commanders making you sad? Blatant Thievery them all!

4. So how do we win?

So, whenever I build a mono-colored commander deck I strive for it to do something atypical of the color. So I ask myself, what's the most anti-blue thing imaginable? After considering the strengths of our commander: evasion, ramp, low-costed and synergy with artifacts, aggro seemed like the obvious choice.

This deck is now packed with all the useful equipment I could find. If we can't have our izzet artifact commander, I'll just go ahead and make my own!

So why insert equipment name here?

Strata Scythe and Fireshrieker are both wincons with commander damage (remember, opponent's lands count too!) Other than that, this build revolves around artifacts, stealing and copying effects. It's very fun and can go a lot of different ways!

Sword of Fire and Ice and friends provide us with evasion and other useful abilities.

Champion's Helm , Hammer of Nazahn , Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves provide nice protection for our commander or some of our other creatures -- Armory Automaton is another great choice.

Conqueror's Flail gives us a nice Grand Abolisher -esque effect.

And finally Dowsing Dagger   and Sword of the Animist gives us some extra ramp for cheap.

Backup win conditions are usually achieved with a nicely-timed Rite of Replication or Memnarch .
