Tevesh & Dargo Cruel Control

Why Tevesh & Dargo?

Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools is a force to be reckoned with, and he has value to spare. Dargo, the Shipwrecker is a big trampling brute with a love for sacrifice. These two together might seem like an odd pair, but believe me when I tell you it's a match made in heaven. Tevesh basically says draw 2 cards, Dargo cost 2 less. And that's just the tip of the iceberg with these two...

Sacrifice:

Let's start off with something these two have in common, they both love sacrifice. So I included cards like Shriekmaw, Ingot Chewer, Rankle, Master of Pranks, Woe Strider, and Magus of the Wheel. I also included a subtheme of treasures, since every treasure becomes a Jeweled Lotus for Dargo. So included cards like Revel in Riches, Pitiless Plunderer, Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge, and Dockside Extortionist.

Recursion:

What's the best part of sacrificing creatures? Recurring them! So I included cards like Underworld Breach, Phyrexian Reclamation, Chainer, Nightmare Adept, Balthor the Defiled, Feldon of the Third Path, and Nullpriest of Oblivion.

Cruel Control:

So you're saccing things and recurring things, but what are you gonna do while you beat face with Dargo and some other heavy hitters and build up to a finisher? Control, control, control...in the cruelest fashion possible. So, you make it hard for things to stick, with cards like Blasphemous Act, Last One Standing, Toxic Deluge, Feed the Swarm, Bedevil, Pyroblast, Slaughter Pact, No Mercy, Attrition, Balefire Dragon, Massacre Wurm, Murderous Rider, and Wasteland.

Finally, this deck closes out games either through combat or through finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Fanatic of Mogis, and Scourge of the Skyclaves.
