Marath has been a commander that I've had on the backburner for years. In versions past, it's been an all-or-nothing deck. It usually sat there, doing nothing until I got an infinite combo. It survived by virtue of having no impact on the game whatsoever until a sudden "oops, i win" moment. Nobody in my play group likes that, especially not me. So this is an attempt to make the deck a little more interactive.

My primary wish for Marath is, was, and always shall be as a token generator. The number of ways to make Marath an efficient generator is unreal, and the bonuses to having creatures of any size enter the field can be incredible. But if the situation calls for it, Marath also excels at dealing damage, especially in one- or two- point increments. As it turns out, there's a lot of ways to increase the efficiency of that particular ability too.

So my hope is that this version of the deck turns out a little more interactive

I just had an awful, nasty, grinchy idea... so currently, my line of thought is "I don't have to protect what you don't want to destroy." I previously had so many cards protecting my fragile tokens from board wipes that it choked out the rest of the deck. However, what if I were to make all lands creatures? Surely, you wouldn't want to destroy all my creatures at the cost of all our lands, would you? Hello Living Plane!
