Ten Buck Brewski: Bloodborne

Modern Aggro Budget Casual Mono-Green Werewolf

GORG291

Enchantment (1)

Because I enjoy brewing around cheap cards, and I want fun decks that can be affordable to everyone. The result of this is what I'm calling 10 Buck Brewskis. These Brewskis are decks that cost no more than 10 dollars total, including sideboard. So there may be decks that don't have a sideboard.

The idea behind this deck is a Bloodborne theme of wolf horrors and transformation. So the goal is to ramp into the flip werewolves from the Eldritch Moon, then pummel your opponent to death and wrecking face.

Mana Ramp:

For mana ramp, we're going to be using a typical mono-green mana ramp using Arbor Elf and Overgrowth. Ideally, you'll be able to get an overgrowth out Turn 2, and then be able to start ramping into the transformation triggers of our wolfy-bois.

And in case we need some extra mana ramp, we also have the Ulvenwald Captive   as a 1G mana dork that transforms into the slightly bigger mana dork: Ulvenwald Abomination  . Not only is the wolf good for extra mana, but also as a hefty 4/6 beater.

Spells and Enchantments:

The spells and enchantments we have in our deck isn't used so much for disrupting our enemy, but keeping our fine furred friends alive.

Waxing Moon:For moments when we can't ramp with overgrowth, or just want to flip a werewolf faster, we use Waxing Moon. As a 2 drop instant, it allows us to ignore the need for ramping into our transform triggers and surprise our opponent.

Full Moon's Rise + Howlpack Resurgence:These two cards helps us not only survive against burn and other aggro-decks, but gives us some sweet benifits. Each one gives our werewolves +1/+1. Yay beegy-buffs! Full Moon's Rise allows us to sacrifice the enchantment to regenerate all of our werewolves. Keeps our dudes alive for one more turn if needed. Howlpack Resurgence on the other hand, can help give us the win by providing trample. It's also a flash card, so it's usable as a nice pump spell.

Harmonize+Naturalize:These two cards are simply there to support us. Harmonize is there for a good draw support, while Naturalize is there for enchantment or artifact removal.

Attackers

And finally, our killers. For attackers, we have many helpful wolves to beat your opponent down.

Kessig Prowler  :A cheap 2/1 that transforms into a nasty 4/4 creature that can only be blocked by one creature. Perfect for chump blocking or going on the aggro.

Tangleclaw Werewolf  :This is one of the main hitter's in the deck. A 2/4 that can block additional creatures is pretty amazing for a 4 drop. But when it transforms, it it becomes a vigilant 4/6 that not only is able to block another creature, but must be blocked if able. It's a nasty wolf-boi for sure.

Shrill Howler:This horror is potentially unblockable, depending on what you're going up against. It's a 3/1 for 3 that can't be blocked with creatures that have less power than it does. Nice for going up against decks with weak creatures, and also becomes better with each werewolf enchantment on the field. Now when Shrill Howler flips, it keeps the unblockable trait, but also creates an Eldrazi Horror Token each time it deals combat damage to a player.

Timberpack Wolf:A backup blocker and attacker. It isn't a core focus, but still has nice synergy with the rest of this deck.

Cult of the Waxing Moon:We run this card to help provide us with extra creatures to chump block and throw at our opponent. Plus it has some decent stats being a 5/4.

Wrap Up

I've played this deck a few times and found it a ton of fun to play. I feel that it's different kind of aggro that not many people would expect to see. Let me know what you think!
