Sideboard

Hi ! My name is -Sylex- and today I'm back with the updated version of my deck previously known as Temur Two Gen's. Khans of Tarkir brought a lot of cool stuff to brew around and it's now time to finalize my previous deck for the the current format. Now let us pass over unnecessary details and move onto the deck's attributes.

CORE OF THE DECK

Ramp Elvish Mystic : The quintessential green creature ! This card defines what ramp is : Getting ahead in mana. He is a key piece to this deck and many other deck featuring green as one of their main color Generator Servant : This is by far one of my favorites creature of the current standard ! It allows many degenerate plays and has a decent 2/1 body. He is at his best when used with Genesis Hydra and Prognostic Sphinx . Rattleclaw Mystic : He/She is the best ramp source in the format ! This guy/girl instantly generates GUR when turned face up and his/her morph cost is 2 colorless, which means it can even be played in non-Temur decks. He/She can also be played as a pseudo Sylvan Caryatid if needed. Sylvan Caryatid : Standard Staple, ramps any color, good blocker. Nuff said.

Threats/Win conds. Genesis Hydra : If you havent noticed yet, my deck's name comes from the Generator Servant + Genesis Hydra Combo. In my deck full of creatures, Genesis Hydra is almost always certain to hit something. Usually, getting the hydra to 5-6 isnt hard and it allows me to search for Prophet of Kruphix or Prognostic Sphinx and theses two card allows me to build my board and search for bigger threats such as Soul of Shandalar , Sagu Mauler and Surrak Dragonclaw. It's the ''Drop a big creature and get another one for (almost) free ! '' aspect that I really like about this card ! Prognostic Sphinx : Scry is a really powerful mechanic in any deck : getting to scry 3 each turn while also having a 3/5 flyer that protects himself from removal is what I call powerful ! This sphinx is really good and the more I play this card, the more I love it ! Sagu Mauler : This is quite a impressive creature we have here my friends ! A 6/6 trampler that isnt afraid of any targetted removal is something worth to consider in any midrange deck ! Except End Hostilities, which can be countered by Stubborn Denial, there's not a lot of cards that get rid of this guy. Verdict : Excellent beater, you can replace Soul of Shandalar by 2 of theses. Savage Knuckleblade : I could spend hours talking to you of how much I love this card. I loved it from the first time I saw it and Knuckleblade still has the same effect on me : WOW !! :-D What does this card do, do you say ? Well, tell me what it doesnt do ! Savage Knuckleblade is a 4/4 for GUR, he triggers Ferocious, he can pump himself, protect himself and even give himself haste !! I'm gonna play the hell out of this card for the next 18 months of Standard ! If you see another Temur brew from me, dont even ask yourself the question : I'll Run 4x Savage Knuckleblade in each of my Temur decks. Soul of Shandalar I'm not quite sure about this card. Sometimes, it really shines and sometimes it's stuck in my hand doing nothing. I run this card over Stormbreath Dragon ( A clearly superior card ) for a simple reason : Ca$$$h. If you have the money, go ahead and include Stormbreath Dragon's to this deck. Surrak Dragonclaw : A card near and dear to my heart that I obtained at the KtK's prerelease. He's the Chuck Norris of Tarkir ! HE PUNCHED A BEAR IN HALF !! I can also mention that he has flash and gives huge benefits to the rest of your team. He's not quite as good on his own as Sagu Mauler , but I always wanted to find a good pretext to make Chuck Norris Jokes while beating down my opponent to death ! Boon Satyr : Wow, that's a good card ! It has flash, it's a good beater, triggers Ferocious, it can be bestowed upon a Sagu Mauler and most importantly, It trades with Courser of Kruphix and Sylvan Caryatid. Very solid creature.

Other/Support Creatures Prophet of Kruphix : Once upon a time lived a man named Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, who had met a charming young lady known as Seedborn Muse. They've both fell in love with each other, lived happily ever after and had a child, Prophet of Kruphix . What a lovely story ! Prophet is a real prodigy of value, and I love her ( For Standard) and hate her ( If you ever played against Prophet of Kruphix in a Commander game, you know what im talking about...) so much at the same time. Maybe it's cuz I hate the Monoblue shenanigans like Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and love the Monogreen pure value of Seedborn Muse. I can clearly say that she's a emotional card ! Also, notice the Prophet of Kruphix + Savage Knuckleblade and the Prophet of Kruphix + Soul of Shandalar combos Stubborn Denial : '' The Temur have no patience for subtelty '' Of course ! This one mana counterspell is the best thing you wish to have in your hand when your opponent tries to resolve a Xenagos, the Reveler or a Nissa, Worldwaker. I'm getting tired of the greedy planeswalkers build and this card is so satisfying to play !
