Deck evolution from my previous deck, Riku's Magic Funhouse. Felt that Kenrith, the Returned King was the better choice for the intent behind the deck, which is to cause chaos, feel-goods, and feel-bads in no particular order. Additionally, Riku was just way to easy to remove as I'd had people ping him to death many times and it's frustrating because he's already to bring out. Paying 7 total mana to bring him out was ridiculous. Other players also immediately thought I'd be playing Riku of Two Turns (or more)...

Win cons centered around card-draw pings via Niv-Mizzet and Pyschosis Crawler, though, really, the intent here is to cause more interesting situations. I haven't had a game play out identically yet and, with Possibility Storm and Knowledge Pool , there's less concern of Combo Players doing the "tutor into my same combo everytime" thing.

Notable Changes from the Previous Deck:

  • Removal of Riku, substitute Kenrith, the Returned King
  • Removal of Rivalry (This card really garnered more hate that I expected. Typical response was "Really?" and, surprisingly caused an Archenemy situation in some games. YMMV)
  • Removal of Goblin Dark-Dwellers (Dead card far too often. Hits some useful cards, but not worth the mana and patience required).
  • Removal of Recurring Insight (A bit expensive for what it is and may be dead card if opponents have no, low cards in hand; moving to Maybeboard)
  • Removal of Tamiyo's Journal (Sad, but I've actually never had this one work out for me. It's too slow to gain any benefit from. Probably better in an Artifact Sac deck.)
  • Removal of Staff of Nin (Moving to Maybeboard; trying new stuff)
  • Removal of Teferi, Temporal Archmage (Not really fitting the theme)
  • Removal of Saheeli Rai , substitute for Saheeli, Sublime Artificier
  • Removal of Telepathy (Strategically, good card. In practice, absolutely annoying as everyone is leaning across the table to see what the heck is there.)
  • Removal of Supplant Form
  • Removal of Molten Primordial
  • Removal of Disciple of the Ring
  • Removal of Curse of Bloodletting (Typically removed or ignored as I don't tend to play against those who use combat much).
  • Removal of Arcane Melee (This tended to encourage combo decks from winning much faster, so nope)
  • Removal of Isolation Cell
