So, Temur did some good stuff this time! I knew when to mulligan and i knew better what to sideboard (This is still the biggest thing i need to work on, i think i need to make a cheat sheet and bring it with me). But i think this is my most improved gameplay at the deck as a whole (except for the last match, which i'll touch on when i get there)

Match 1 2-0 against blue red

This wasn't the hardest matchup for me. He was a blue red prowess deck that did not run any gearhulks. I have good removal for his 4 toughness flyers. I also have a bunch of negates in the side for anything that targets my guys and a Confiscation Coup if anything got out of hand, which i stole a 5/4 flyer with it. :)

Game 1 This was pretty close as he got out quite a few flying threats, but i took a bit of damage to deploy my threats before taking them out with Harnessed Lightning and Chandra, Torch of Defiance and after glorybringer came out later in the game, it was all over.

Game 2 I think i just curved out (Hydra on turn 3) and beat face faster than him, negating a sweltering suns was the win.

Match 2 2-1 against ramunap red

This is a pretty tough matchup for me when they are on the play. They can get me down to 10 before i have a creature to effectively block

Game 1 I curved out pretty well and he mulled to 5.He put up a bigger fight than i thought though and it took several turns to negate his threats. He just got overwhelmed by my threats eventually and didn't have enough cards to take me down.

Game 2 He ended up getting there pretty quickly curving out pretty well, and even though i had a decent draw, chump blocking doesn't help when he just has a really good burn draw and he drained my life total over several turns.

Game 3 Whirler Virtuoso enough said. This guy made 3 thopters that blocked hazoret THREE times. I won with 8 health. i stabilized and eventually he had to keep his hazoret on blocking duty.

Match 3 2-1 against Mardu Vehicles (Mike Ford!)

Game 1 Turn 1 Authority of the Consuls (shuts me down more than i thought it would)into turn 2 Heart of Kiran that i mistakenly let live. I thought i could get some threats out there and THEN harnessed lighting it. Don't do that. Take a turn off to kill it if you can. I also only drew 1 removal spell and i run 6 (8 if you include Chandra. Game ended in a loss because i was too low to go on the offensive

Game 2 I think he mulled to 6 and i had removal for all his stuff and just deployed more threats than him this time. My sideboard definitely helps me out here more than his i believe. Riggity Rekt

Game 3 He mulled to 6 again ( i think he did that all 3 games) He landed quite a few threats, but i had all removal spells in my hand, so i kept it (two harnessed lightnings, 1 abrade and a chandra with 3 lands) so i kept thinking i would draw threats. Which i did. turn 2 cub into turn 3 whirler, which didn't have the Authority of the Consuls out to neuter it. I won the match!!

Match 4 2-1 against zombies.

Game 1 Lost....Okay hear me out. I had a sketch hand with nothing to play until turn 3 and he had a great hand with two relentless deads and he just beat my face until i died. I had no idea what i was playing against, but after game one i had a better idea of how to mulligan and....yeah lets just move onto game 2

Game 2 Got there. I curve out well and he has to mull to 5. He runs out of threats (he almost stabilizes, but turn 4 hydra into turn 5 hydra is really hard to beat for zombies) He dies in 3 turns

Game 3. A better game for both of us. I get off a REALLY good sweltering suns near turn 6 that hits three creatures. I think he misplayed because he didn't tap his zombies to draw a card, but besides that it was a close game until i sweltering suns into glorybringer into glorybringer.

Match 5 1-2 against ramp

Game 1 Turn 2 cub got big enough to take him out.

Game 2. everything was going fine until around turn 5 when he hit 2 creatures with Hour and then landed a worldbreaker that took out my red source. He was really low health, but i had no reach and he eventually landed an Ulamog that just cleaned up my library and my life total.

Game 3 This is the game that i learned the most from all day. I remember it so vividly. I go first, turn 1 nothing, Turn 2 cub, turn 3 swing cub play cub. Turn 4....This is where i mess up. He played a ramp spell on turn 3 meaning he has access to 5 mana next turn. This turn i swung with a 3/3 cub and a 2/2 cub, getting me 4 energy. Enough to make one cub a 5/5. Not out of range of Hour of Devastation....So i have a choice and i make it in my head, i'll just save my Harnessed Lightning to gain energy and then add a counter to my cub. But instead i get greedy i guess and play my chandra. He then plays his hour and wipes my board. and even though i continue to have a few threats and the game is EXTREMELY close. I lose.... The game would have been over in two-three turns if i would have taken the "safe" route that i had planned in my head. It also would have been a really cool play to make my cub a 6/6 in response to his hour.

So yeah, i learned a lot about how to play and what i should do in this game and any game. I need to play around big threats that if i do play around them, i win, and that is exactly what that game was. Hour was the only thing that could beat me there and i didn't play around it when i could.
