Pretty new to MTG. Have picked up two premade decks and decided I wanted to try building one myself. I like to have themes so human tribal with their wise druid commander is what I'm shooting for. I like humans so that is one of the things I would say I'd be hesitant to change about this deck and I am willing to sacrifice some effectiveness for them. (But they seem to work pretty well with Gaddok anyways.)

Any suggestions for budget upgrades down the road would be appreciated. Any substitutions/tweaks appreciated as well. If you think its... Less than effect then don't be shy.

Idea is to play at a mid to slow pace. Use Gaddok Teeg to keep opponents from being able to take advantage of high cmc non-creature spells and to play on my curve. Tried to work in a bit of spot removal and board wipes to keep anything that Gaddok Teeg can't stop in check.

Fit in as much blanket protection, hexproof, indestructible, and even a little regeneration to keep my commander out as much as possible. Myth Unbound seems like it should work pretty well with Gaddok considering he already has a low CMC so if I get it out they either have to deal with the enchantment or bounce him a lot before the tax becomes prohibitive.

Aside from that I have a lot of value creatures and search cards to hopefully be able to fetch what I need when the situation arises.

My win conditions mostly have to do with +1/+1 counters but I tried to keep multiple avenues to victory open. Hopefully I have enough ways to stack counters (Mikeaus, Shalia, Bloospore Thrinax, Archangel of Thune, + a number of creatures that can give themselves counters. Pir and Maulfist Revolutionary are in there to help make the most of my counters. Would love to fit in doubling season or something along those lines but not quite budget.

I also tried to fit in a number of creatures with trample, vigilance, life link, flying, etc to take advantage of Odric. One card I could cut would be Veteran Cathar, but he's a nice low drop creature and that double strike could end games with Odric out. (And is nice regardless.)

Other win conditions would be getting beast master's ascension to trigger, or even using Shaman of Forgotten Ways special ability late game. Jolrael could also do some significant work on her own and aside from that just keeping the creature train going and chipping away will hopefully be enough.

I am considering fitting in Sigarda Host of Herons to have more than one way to keep my creatures from being sacked. (Right now Tajuru Preserver is my go-to.) She's not quite budget but at the moment I am fairly confident about my ways to stop destroy and target removal effects, so might be good to bolster my sac defense.
