Gaddock Teeg

A lot of people really don't like Gaddock Teeg, but he is, in my opinion, the only commander that gives the protection needed to have a viable enchantress deck. This deck is lock heavy, with many silver bullets the highlights being Stony Silence / Null Rod for shutting down artifact based decks, Rest in Peace / Grafdigger's Cage for graveyard based decks, Cursed Totem for pesky creature abilities, and lastly Torpor Orb / Hushwing Gryff for ETB's, which after Teeg is down, is one of the few ways to deal with our boardstate; note I do not run Rule of Law due to the nature of our deck, we aim to chain enchantments.

Important Notes

It is important to get Argothian Enchantress down early, ahead of even getting Teeg down in terms of priority. Two cards we have trouble with are: Cyclonic Rift and Toxic Deluge we have Nevermore for these two problem cards and we just pray not to see both. This deck is kind of my baby, I have spent too much time trying to create an Enchantress deck that doesn't just fold to sweepers, this is the current iteration, there is really only the one combo in the deck that being Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest .

Ramp and land choices

We have a laundry list of ramp enchantments, I'm not going to bother listing all of them but I will note that it is usually correct to enchant basics to better combo with Earthcraft. Serra's Sanctum and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx are the only specific pieces of ramp really worth mentioning, they can generate a ton of mana to help us win via Helix Pinnacle if we can't find another way to finish the game. Two other lands that are worth mentioning are Cavern of Souls and Rogue's Passage. Before you play Cavern you have to decide if you are going to name Angels or Advisors/Kithkin both have there merits, if I already have Teeg down and I am beginning to lock up the game I will name Angels. If I am up against a Blue heavy field and I have the opportunity to get a quick uncounterable Teeg I will often take it. Rogue's Passage on the other hand is a there to make general damage a viable option in combination with Ethereal Armor.

Thank you
